In the heart of glorious West Sussex countryside, at the top a country lane, tucked away on our 13 acre farm lies a charming and rustic luxury 2 bedroom self-catering retreat named The Bothy. Whether you are in need of a restful weekend retreat or a short vacation this is a perfect place to stay in comfort and style. The wonderfully comfortable Ercol sofa is surrounded by 3 equally comfy chairs all donned with an array of bright colours cushions. Relax in front of the TV, connected up to Amazon, Netflix, Youtube, BBC and more. Or light up the wood burning stove, throw on some logs and let the flames enchant and warm you. Or spoil yourself and do both!
If youâre feeling a little peckish then step into the shockingly well equipped kitchen â microwave, induction hob, oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, toaster, kettle and full complement of crockery, glassware and cutlery. An oak door leads to a delightful cloakroom with rich blue tiled floor, vessel basin onto of a rustic table with hand painted legs in teal (itâs actually Vardo - one of those fancy named paints from Farrell and Ball!). Above the toilet hangs a cupboard of bit and bobs including some the Tetley Tea folk!
Behind another oak door you will find the games cupboard with a collection to entertain for friends and family. Its big cupboard so useful storage space for those travel bags as well.
Heading up the oak staircase you enter into a world of elegantly curved oak beams and vaulted ceilings in the landing and bedrooms.

Mingle with your fellow travelers â there is an equally luxurious cottage next to yours - or do your own thing and venture out and explore glorious West Sussex.
You have direct access to footpaths and bridleways which take you through our farm and out into the beautiful countryside beyond. As you venture out of the farm you will notice our ponies. We run a private stud where we breed native ponies. If you are lucky you may even see a foal!
As well as our ponies we have 5 dogs and 4 farm cats so a lot going on around the Bothy.
We found the accomodation and location absolutely perfect for our needs. We were attending a wedding celebration at the Sir Roger Tichbourne venue about 8 miles away.We found the info and recommendations for dining to be top notch and would have liked to stay longer to explore the surroundings. Would recommend the accommodation to anyone be it family or friends. The welcome was very warm and friendly and nothing was to much trouble.
Wonderful property and great hosts in a lovely location
We came to the property on New Hall Farm for a short, five day stay this summer. From the moment we arrived we were impressed with the quality of the accommodation. It was obvious a great deal of thought had been lavished on it. All the rooms were well-appointed, beautifully clean, tastefully decorated and contained everything you could need.
Deepak and Sarah were great hosts and very informative about the local area. Deepak always had time for a chat and made some great suggestions about places to visit. It was also great fun playing on his antique table football equipment!
The property is in a beautiful location, with lots of great countryside within easy reach - we walked in the Downs, visited the coast and went to Winchester, among other things. It was great sitting in the small, beautiful garden at the front of the Bothy when the sun shone. If we could have stayed longer we would have.
I can wholeheartedly recommend this property. I don't normally stay at the same place twice, but in this instance I am seriously tempted to return!
