Cozy bungalow charm!

Located on three acres Shell House Estates is a170 year old private property with 500 year old registered live oak trees with a private beach just out your front door. The bungalow has parking under a carport which is just out your French Doors. There is a screen porch out your French Doors with a full outdoor kitchen and fire pit. The Bungalow has a lighted pool and lighted croquet grass court. There is also a Pool House that sleeps 6 see the additional listing for the guesthouse; VRBO# 773631.

The bungalow is in the back of the property. It is not the pool house. The pictures are a little confusing. This was perfect for our group of four people. Very comfortable. Very nice. Very beautiful place right across from the beach, nice pool, covered parking area for one car. The only drawback was the refrigerator is very very small so you might want to bring an ice chest with ice, although there is an icemaker right outside on the patio. Would recommend!

We came in for a week long event at the Biloxi Convention Center. Though it was 18-20 min away the quiet home, inviting neighborhood, nice shops, and local restaurants were lovely and a nice draw to staying outside of Biloxi.

Wonderful place!

The buildings and grounds were lovely. The owners were very nice. The walk to the beach was short. There were lots of games and activities available. I don’t have a lot of reason to visit Gulfport, no family or friends there, but I would come back just to stay at this place.

Perfect winter getaway!

This is truly a beautiful location. I’ve been to a lot of beaches on the Gulf, but never the Mississippi coast. The Live Oaks, the beautiful beaches uncluttered by hotels, restaurants, and condos, the peaceful, calm vibe. This is the one perfect place to RELAX! Also, I guess because it’s so close to N’Orleans, there are lots of good restaurants with GREAT food!

Location is just steps away from the gulf. Sunrises and Sunsets were amazing. White sandy beach and great restaurants some in walking distance. Perfect for a quiet relaxing vacation. Will definitely visit again !!

The Absolute Best

We first chose this property for its proximity to USM (walking distance). We could not have imagined how beautiful and serene it would be “in person”. R&R Getaway

A Great Place to Reconnect

Shell House is the epitome of southern charm. We began our stay in the bungalow, which was "Southern Living Magazine" adorable. After the first night, our host graciously offered the pool house to us in anticipation of fence construction near the bungalow. The pool house was larger with a full kitchen, lovely decor, and easy access to the pool. The walk down the front drive to the beach is dreamy. We even spotted an eagle! Thank you, Lydia, for sharing your lovely spaces with us.

Over the Top!

This was our first VRBO experience, so had no idea what to expect
 was a little nervous, BUT, what an enchanting place it was to stay. Large green lawn under old live oaks. Full view of bay from front yard. Complete privacy. Detailed decor throughout. Will definitely go back.
