It was great hotel to stay for business. All the staff I met were really friendly and helpful. great value for a nights stay and close to the NEC so so easy.
Bed king size , but , very uncomfortable, hard and could feel the springs , very little sleep and got up with aches and pains , shower miserable dribble , needed hot shower blast to recover from bed , milk off in small cartons , did not to Hotel , will not be staying again ,,,,.
Lovely hotel, lovely staff located in a nice area however arrival was a nightmare. The car park was choc full. Literally every space taken but i managed to find what appeared to be a 3/4 space round the back between a small silver car parked at 30 degrees and a LR Diacovery. The trouble was theres not enough space to turn around. So I had to reverse the whole of the car park to the main road do a 180 in the middle of the main road and reverse 200 yards back again and squeeze in and pray no-one pranged my car.
The twin room we had was spacious and had all the usual tea/coffee/free bottled water and big freeview tv.
The beds were wonderful and soft and I slept like a log.
The bathroom shower was hot just the ticket when you need a freshen.up in the morning. The extractor fan failed to work which meant there were clouds in the bathroom and the toilet handle had something weird going on which meant it turned further than it should do. We also found a very large spider in the bath which we called "Harry" and we were concerned we would be charged for extra accomodation so we put the brute out of its misery. The accomodation team had foegotten to provide towels so I managed to catch the Manager who obliged and was nice but seemed very busy.
We didnt try the restaurant as we had already eaten out in Birmingham and the Covid socially distanced breakfast offering was a takeout so we decided to skip it and had breakfast in Coventry.
Recommend. Brickmakers Arms. Welcoming and nice.
Noticed fresh urine stains on toilet on arrival, along with water marks on shower tiles question cleanliness of hotel. Breakfast was ok and location good for coventry. Rooms and interior dated. Stayed for business trip as arrived in area late, but sadly would not stay again.
