Great location, check in and out easy and efficient, however the cleanliness and housekeeping of the rooms was poor, dusty on furniture and furnishings could be seen floating around the room, and towels and bed sheets were not changed the time we were there.

Great place to stay

We really enjoyed our stay, the staff were friendly, I’ve noticed I’ve paid twice for our stay I hope I get my second payment back. It’s a great location for the Ozzy memorial, the beds were very comfy, great price for parking it’s a pitty the surrounding area is a little run down but overall we really enjoyed our star

The room, was fine clean and basic. The breakfast area was a shambles, over crowded and no one organising the cue making it very chaotic. But the worst part was all of the crockery, cutlery and glasses were dirty. Covered in the kind of food dirt left from a poor functioning dishwasher.

The parking situation was confusing on some sites it states that disabled parking is free (which is one of the reasons we picked this hotel) and when we got to the hotel they then told me that we had to pay for parking. Luckily the staff did not charge us at their discretion. The breakfast options were not as varied as advertised (only choice of eggs was scrambled and highly peppered, no mushrooms, fried tomatoes etc)but what was offered was well cooked. The rooms were very clean but could do with a small fridge for medication or items purchased that need to be kept cool. But the staff are really friendly and seem to be happy and treat patrons very well.

Hampton by hilton Birmingham broad street

We had a lovely stay at Hampton by hilton Birmingham broad street. Location was great, as we were close to lots of shops. You had to use your room key card to access the room floors via the lift, hence no intruder could access the floors beyond the reception. Car park was expensive at £15 per night and we later discovered cheaper car parks on same road for <£10 per night though we had already paid for 2 nights at the hotel. Breakfast was okay but yoghurt was not in closed pots, rather in a large open bowl, so we didn't have any. There was a lot of dust on the sofa bed, otherwise cleaning was okay.

I travel to Birmingham frequently and as such have stayed at the Birmingham Hampton by Hilton hotel a number of times but on this occasion I was very displeased. I’d like to start with the room. Unfortunately the room was a complete let down from the start, the issues that were wrong with the room were as follows, - [ ] Numerous stains on the walls as if someone had thrown food all around - [ ] Blinds were old and bent as if been there for a long time - [ ] There was hair on the bathroom sink and in the shower - [ ] There were toenails on the floor in the bedroom which was absolutely disgusting so clearly the room hadn’t been hovered before hand - [ ] Pillows were extremely uncomfortable and too soft which left me with a headache both the mornings that I was there The Staff at reception gave off that they couldn’t be bothered to interact with customers and were extremely miserable. When working in an establishment and being the first representation of a company this was very unprofessional. The breakfast was another let down, although the breakfast is free doesn’t mean that it has to be the basic and cheap quality. The sausage were tuff, the omelet was rubbery and the mini potatoes were greasy and rubbery. The two best things about breakfast were that the orange juice was amazing and the make your own waffles were big and hot, but the variety of toppings was also a let down so I had to have mine plain. I opted out of having the breakfast on the morning I was checking out as
