First off the majority of the staff was great. There is always one,though. Checked in, had to wait for request for ground floor room to be changed. We went to room, bed was horrible. Random noise from some sort of lift,off and on all night. Air did not work. Moved to another room. Before we could leave to go to hospital,husband having surgery at UAB was reason for stay,maintenence comes into the room to verify that we knew how to operate air,we did. It was froze up. Moved my things to next room, air didn't work in it either. Also no icemaker in this fully updated room. Gave them permission to go in room while i am gone. Left keys with them. Returned to hotel , late after spending day at hospital. I have a new room, was given keys,went to room......cool air for sure. Have to go back to desk because my belongings areno where in this room. Very sweet clerk goes to the other room and retrieves my belongings. Finally I can go to bed. Breakfast, just pitiful.
Limited offerings to begin with,then serveral large groups checked in, lucky to get coffee. Like i said majority of staff was awesome. Facilitys very aged. Food a waste ,if a convenient breakfast is a draw,dont count on it. Will not stay here again.
