Fine for the purpose of a quick visit for a concert at the O2 Academy Birmingham. Only a 15 mins walk and free parking at the hotel. Pub was nice with a good range of drinks and the menu looked good for a small venue, but we didn't eat as it wasn't part of our plans for the evening.
Excellent value, far exceeding expectations. Very well maintained. Very nice touches such as the feature wall behind the bed. Bathroom exceptionally clean and well presented.

Average but good budget stay.
This place was pretty good value for money but very average. Room was old and tired. Checkin was non-personal and not very friendly. Big plus is free parking and good bed linen, but it all could do with an update (mostly carpets).
A good budget stay near city centre.
What a bargain £55 for our last minute one night stay, room was really clean, the area’s not the best but we didn’t need to venture out, had a couple of drinks downstairs in the bar and the staff were really friendly.
Room was clean and functional with comfortable bed and nice walk in shower.
Nice cooked breakfasts at reasonable price.
Short taxi or bus ride to city centre and Symphony Hall. Room rates were lower than city centre hotels.
NOT AS ADVERTISED!! no airport shuttle service & no breakfast as advertised (only on a Sunday). Hotel said that they have told booking agents they don't offer this but listing not updated - still taking the bookings though. The room is so tiny the bed is against a wall. No aircon or fans (during heatwave that was pleasant). No telephone in room to call reception. 1 stuck-on bathroom hook for 3 towels. Shower had good pressure despite water spraying out from the flex hose. Good thing we were happy with temperature as that dial was broken & not adjustable. Furniture in room (desk with vanity mirror & stool under it) looked very very worn & outdated. Carpet throughout the building was old, tired & worn/uneven. In general the whole place needs an update. No daily maid/cleaning service. In words of the manager (?), they are a budget hotel so don't go in the room until you have checked out. This was actually a relief as obviously there was no safe to lock away valuables. Shockingly poor/non-existent sound proofing. We were told on check-in that they had a live DJ at bar on Saturday l. I joked I hoped it wasn't loud as we would be up at 4am to head to airport. Sounded like bad karaoke in the room, could hear it above the TV. Was so loud we thought it was due to the open windows (heatwave, tiny room, stifling) but even with windows closed, phone app measured volume as 61-68 decibels! Surrounding area abandoned and derelict! Took photo of my passport with her phone/WhatsApp!

Rooms are anove the public house. The locatio is within walking distance of most amenities. My 1st floor room had no nets or blinds but did had cutains at the window, this was an issue for me as you were over looked by balconies of properties on the other side of the road and with a bus stop people on the top deck could look straight in.
