Clean room, fun vibe, would stay againâŠonly thing is the place has some history, so the floors are slanted causing a gap in the bottom of the door. Significant enough that I put a towel to stop the light and hopefully absorb noise. Just felt the gap decreased privacy. But I would still stay again.
Spotless and pleasant staff very helpful. We found the location wonderful and loads of restaurants near. Word of caution- no elevator and no staff after 6 pm.
We loved our stay at the painted lady! The staff was great, very friendly. The hotel was always spotless! We loved the location and we loved the cuteness of the hotel! I would definitely recommend this hotel for a nice little get away
Hotel was conveniently located, rooms were spacious, very stylish and clean. Management were super friendly. Only complaint is that the person staying above me kept late hours and had loud footsteps! Next time I will ask for the top floor.
Super cool place for anyone wanting to book somewhere unique and not a basic chain hotel. The room was clean and the staff were super friendly! The only thing we didnât love was the water pressure. We stayed on the 3rd floor, not sure if that had anything to do with it, but we had very little pressure. Other than that, the place was great. The colors and art were neat. We would absolutely stay here again.
One of the best hotel stays Iâve had, and by far the best in Birmingham. Fair prices, great amenities, and the staff is some of the friendliest I have ever interacted with. Room was clean and absolutely adorable, I will be staying here every time I stay in Birmingham from now on.
They were utilizing a "guest host" process for the check-in versus an actual person. I did not receive my check-in instructions prior to my arrival which required me to have to call in for assistance. The hotel had no elevator which I knew however, it would have been nice to have a floor preference considering you have to climb the stairs with luggage. In addition, I was not aware that the rooms did not have irons or ironing boards, no refrigerators but community refrigerators and no microwaves.
The room was clean and well appointed. Didnât see another human the whole time we were there⊠but there was a lot of charm!
The amenity bar was a thoughtful touch. Would definitely stay here again.
The room was pristine and the office manager was the best! She was very friendly and helpful. My husband enjoyed learning the history of The Painted Lady. It is definitely a gem and if we are ever in Birmingham again, we will definitely be staying there.
The room was gorgeous, clean, and comfortable. The staff were super friendly and helpful. It's a beautiful place to stay with many walkable eating options.
There is no lot. There is street parking. Desolate part of town. Sort of seedy. No coffee. No waters. No ice. Door was not sealed anyone could throw something under. Light seeping all 4 sides. Needs fixed. All door handles opened up. Toilet flushed up. Hall had a mini fridge with no waters. No drinks. There was a hot pad with a kettle in it. A sink to use tap water and you could wait for it to get hot. No Keurig or any drink station in room or hall. Coffee blocks away. No iron. No place to hang your clothes. It was odd. Hipster, interiors- first rate. Draperies on point- French return rods with sheers. Pillows, sheets, bedding and towels- probably better than The Ritz Carlton. Bonus points for Yellow Submarine the lobby Golden Retriever. He made me smile. Overall a cool vibe but if the fixed the door, added ice, water and a real coffee station on each floor I would have been much happier. These are must to accommodate guests. đ
The front desk staff's customer service is truly unmatched. Absolutely outstanding. Great location. Clean rooms. No elevator & no fridge in room but no issue. Absolutely would stay again.
My needs were met - although with no elevator I feel lucky I was on the 2nd floor - and the front desk girl was sweet and incredibly helpful. Love the architecture and interior design!
