Eco-frendly hotel. Room key door knob sign were made of wood. They provided the hotel surrounding map, which was very interesting and helpful. Breakfast was not order to cook but buffet style which actually we prefered.

We clambered up to our room only to find that another family were already staying in that room! We then had to clamber back down all the stairs to be allocated a room a couple of doors away from the original room - up all the stairs again. Total shambles

Authentic to its age yet well appointed and maintained to contemporary standards. The room, facilities and grounds are extremely well maintained. All staff interaction was professional, yet personable. Special mention for Kevin and his crew in the restaurant where food and service was much appreciated as we celebrated a 70th birthday with a meal.

Very friendly and professional staff. The constant temperature throughout the hotel, especially the bedroom was perfect. At no point did we feel cold, considering it was a cold and wet day, nor did we get overheated.
