Our extended family had a blast here! The home was comfortable and very well stocked. The kids loved the game room, hot tub, and huge backyard. We would definitely stay here again!
Stay was great. House set up well for a large group. Yard for activites and game area were also perfect. Only thing would add would add is mentioning that fir large groups pending breakfast choices, that they may need to confirm what kitchen items are available. (Example: griddle for pancakes, etc). Host was great. Scenery was beautiful and things to do were not far at all.
We came to Black Mountain to celebrate our daughterâs 26th birthday. She is a big Cooper Alan fan and he was doing a concert 3 miles from the house at Silverados. The house was perfect! The âkidsâ, ages 21-26, all stayed together in the bunk room while the 4 âolderâ couples, ages 45-52 each got a bedroom. The living room area was great to just chill out and talk in but the garage area was outstanding to hang out in all together! It was a wonderful weekend and we all had a great time. If we ever go back to Black Mountain we would definitely stay there again! Thank you!
Quiet area with lots of space, please note it is within a mile from a prison.
This house has a nice space for parking and to wonder and offers views of nature. The rooms and living space are large! Good seating for all to enjoy. We had a black bear on the front porch! The garage turned game room is very nice and so are the bedroom and living areas. Some things however to note.
1. Two of the bathrooms do not stay locked, we had multiple people walk in due to this.
2. The bathroom showers are older and water heater does not keep warm after 5 people take -10 minute showers. This made showering or the whole house difficult.
3. We did run into a problem where we had only 8 towels for 15 people and 6 roles of toilet paper for the whole week. ( texted the management and they ended up just giving us the code to the supply door to restock).
4. The location is within a mile of a prison and on a dirt road which i wasnt prepared for. Driving past this everyday to leave the house did make our retreat a bit on edge. Especially as service in the area is not good.
5. Please note this mangagment company does not do refunds even the next day. They will send you an email saying sounds like you have a great trip and Go book after i sent a message asking if i could pay to have extra people. They then decided not to honor that phrase after spending over 4 hours on the phone with Vacasa!
6. There was a hot tub but that was empty so it just took over the space where tue 2 hammocks were and now there is only 1 which was a bummer for us that there was only 1.
We enjoyed our stay! Our group was two large families with teenage and young adult children. The space was perfect for everyone. The house is beautifully decorated and the surrounding area is peaceful and lovely. So close to the town of Black Mountain which is easy for a day in town or grabbing dinner at one of the local restaurants.
