When we arrived to check-in, the front desk person just stared at me. No greeting or welcome. I had to say I was here to check-in before I got a response. Terrible first impression.

Lobby was very clean and tidy. Hotel room was outdated, very small bathroom. Could hear the next room flushing toilets and taking showers. No large bottles of shampoo or body wash attached to wall like we're used to; however small sample bottles are in room. Walmart is a stoplight away though. If you're one for high powered showers though, their water pressure is literally unheard of! Phenomenal!!! That alone is a 5!5

When I first got there and went to the check in desk, They had my paperwork laid out on their counter ready to go. No waiting. We were hoping for a ground floor room, but we were given a second story, no elevator. Not their fault, and they informed us that in the future we can call after making our reservations and tell them we need ground floor. We are both in our 60s and not the best shape so that will come in handy. The guy behind the desk did come running when he saw me coming down with bags and helped carry them. The breakfast was real good, just not any complaints on our part.

The property is older but was clean and in good condition. The hot tub was low on water so the jets were spraying up water but it was still useable. The kids loved the basketball hoop in the pool. The breakfast was good with a range of choices.

I've stay in hotels from 3 stars to 5 stars through the years and this AmericInn in Tomah has been indiscutible the best I've been in a long time. My room was very clean. I inspected everywhere and brought my on cleaning supplies but didn't need them. The bed was siper comfy. The tv had many movie channels for free. The water pressure was excellent. My room was sound proof but It was very quiet even at the pool. The staff was very polite and so were the guests. The breakfast was the usual for a hotel of this price. Conveniently located near restaurants and gas station. The price was right!

I HAD A WONDERFUL STAY AT THE AMERICAN INN IN TOMAH,WI. THE STAFF WERE VERY POLITE,UNDERSTANDING AND VERY HELPFUL TO MY DAUGHTER AND I. I HAD MADE A MISTAKE MISUNDERSTOOD THIER PET POLICY. I THOUGHT THEY ALLOWED DOGS. SO I HAD BROUGHT MY DOGS WITH ME.THE NEXT MORNING THE STAFF/OWNER EXSPLAIN VERY VERY POLITLEY THAT THEY ONLY ALOOWED SERVICE ANIMALS AND ALLOWED ME AN ACTQUITE AMOUNT OF TIME TO MAKE ARRANGEMENTS TIO FINN SOMEONE ZAND SOMEWHERE ELSE FOR MY DOGS TO GO DURING MY STAY. THEY DINT CHZARGE ME A PET FEE THEY DDINT KICK US OUT OR CHARGE US ANY EXTRA CHARGE;S. THE WERE VERY KIND AND UNDERSTANDING OF THE MISTAKE. THEY WERE VERY VERY AFORDABLE AS WELL. WONDERFUL HOUSKEEPERS. DELICIOUS BREAKFAST. JUST AN ABSOLUTE WONDERFUL AND VERY PEACEFULL PLACE TO STAY,. I WOULD MOST DEFENTLEY RECOMMENED THEM OVER ANY OF THE HOTEL IN TOWN.
