Very nice property. Everything as advertised. Be wary of the small step off in the master bedroom, but the front entrance has a a good hand railing. Close to the University! Wish we couldâve stayed longer and used the fire pit.
Location: We came to Blacksburg for the VT Hokie Focus. Staying close to campus was important for our family of five. This home was about 15 minutes away driving to Burrus hall, close but not walking distance. The location of the home is a bit off the beaten path, not far but not really that close to downtown or the school. Cleanliness: This was a major disappointment, we were told we could not check-in early because they were thoroughly cleaning the house to ensure a great stay. Which I understand if the house was actually thoroughly cleaned. My wife found a coin, stains and hairs in the linen for the primary bed. We found several ants and other bugs. Stains all over the shower floor, looks like itâs never been thoroughly scrubbed with bleach. The rest was ok. Having to wash sheets after a long day traveling was not ideal and we couldnât find any other linen in the house. Host: This home is owned/ managed by a property management company. Looks like they do just enough to keep the home together but not enough to care much about the property. Payment was requested through their website which seemed odd but I did it anyways. Contacting the host meant you spoke to an operator who would get back to you with generic information. Iâd much rather speak to the actual homeowner as itâs a much better experience. Looks like it was renovated but not much thought was put into the design, specifically the bathrooms and the uneven floors. We will not choose to stay here again.
Everything turned out good. Che k in was easy, quite neighborhood, Dear in the yard evert evening. The place was clean and well maintained. I would recommend it to anyone.
We were amazed at how cute and cozy the home is! Our faves: the big bathroom and the comfortable beds. The host was very accommodating and a pleasure to work with. We are definitely bookmarking this home for our future trips to Virginia. Thank you so much for the lovely lodging! Definitely better than any Home2Suites!!
