- Refunds: Full refund for cancellations made 30+ days before check-in. 50% refund for cancellations made 7–14 days prior (depending on channel partner). No refunds within 14 days. Non-Refundable Option is not refundable.
- Process: Cancellations must be submitted in writing to Mt. Maplewood Lake House and confirmed through the booking system. Applicable taxes and credit card fees are retained and remitted.

We had a wonderful family vacation at this beach house(5 days). They have everything you need for a day on the lake. We enjoyed kayaking and canoeing over to the beach. The lake is on the small size which worked well for our family. The game room was a blast with lots of family competitions. They provided extensive information regarding local activities which made it very easy to plan our trip. The kids loved the ATV tour and we all enjoyed hiking to the waterfalls. Lovely vacation

Beautiful area. Perfect view of the lake from in and oit of the home. The house was clean and maintained very well. The price was a bit high for only 2 nights. I completely understand the reason for the higher cost then other places. I could tell the owner of the home takes pride in the property and wants anyone staying there to do the same. Very comfortable house for a larger family. Four bedrooms, larger living room, three season room and game room in the garage for indoor days and a large yard, right on the lake, for outdoor days. Direct access to launch kayak and canoe. Mini-split AC units in all but one bedroom and the house stayed cool even though we had some hot, humid days. Direct-line propane grill, so no worries about the tank going empty mid-vacation! And nothing beats waking up at sunrise on a lake (see picture)

Perfect vacation spot for families!

The house was absolutely perfect for our families! Well equipped and right on the lake with boats and life jackets of all sizes and a fantastic beach with swimming access that we could boat to. The house was exactly as pictured and advertised and the host was very communicative and helpful. Would definitely stay again!

Great B’day Vacay

We had a wonderful time. The overall space, plus the number of bedrooms and bathrooms accommodated me, my husband, 5 adult kids, and two dogs very well. We enjoyed eating meals both inside and on the deck. The house has beautiful lake views, but the lake was closed for boating and swimming due to e-coli from the high temps and all the rain. This seems to be a rare occurrence there. We did kayak before finding this out and the lake is small but very scenic, so it was quite enjoyable! We walked around the development and it was very pleasant. We enjoyed the fire pit. We brought our own games, but the VRBO supplies, books and games. We ate breakfast at Jubilee, which was wonderful, and dogs are allowed on their patio. Overall, it was a great stay, and we are very glad we went! Ricky, the owner/manager was communicative and very friendly.

Family vacation

My family of 9 people had great time at Mt Maplewood. Ricky was so helpful before we arrived and although we didn’t need him during our stay I’m sure he would have been very attentive if we needed him. The arrival and departure process was very easy. The house was great and the yard and lake so peaceful. We really wanted a low key vacation and that’s exactly what we got. Recommend !

Best Vacation We Ever Had!

Can not say enough about this wonderful property and our experience in this community. The house itself was spotless, so comfortable and really beautiful. We absolutely loved the room looking over the lake and we spent hours there. The community is very quiet and so peaceful, which promoted total relaxation. We loved the kayak and boat and the lake was gorgeous. The hot tub was just awesome! We cooked out and shared all our meals having used the super well-equipped kitchen which had everything. The bedrooms were spacious and so comfortable. This was probably the most wonderful vacation we’ve ever had and certainly was the most beautiful home we’ve ever rented. Ricky was the most conscientious and responsive host! He ensured a wonderful experience. We have already planned our return for next year. Can’t wait to come back!!!

The perfect family friendly location with lots to do

This house was beautiful and the view was even better, the house was clean and well taken care of. I was very grateful for the number of gates and doors which really helped to create a toddler friendly environment. We loved the area and were greeted with a mommy and baby deer as soon as we pulled in. We were able to utilize the boats and really enjoyed being on the water. The host was so amazing and available, when we couldn’t figure out how the heat worked he took time out of his day to walk us through it. He provided ample amount of information ahead of our stay that we were properly prepared for our stay.

Good location, poor condition of the house.The house is old, many things require repairs, the carpet is very dirty, and the heating and cooling system is difficult to operate.The owner is very demanding.I had to spend half an hour talking to him before checking in, and then there were many requirements for check-out:I had to close all the windows, even though when we arrived, half of them were already open.I had to turn off the heating throughout the entire house, but the heating is not central, so I had to go from room to room to turn everything off.They told me that if I didn’t do it, I would have to pay for the heating bills for the extra days.I find all of this excessive.”The location is good, the sunroom offers a very beautiful view, and there is good access to the lake.Overall rating: 4 out of 5.”

Great place to stay!

This property was one of our most favorite VRBO rentals!! Ricky is an excellent host, who was extremely proactive and responsive with his communication! He truly cared for our stay - ensuring we were comfortable and more importantly, having the most amazing time. Ricky was truly welcoming and has one of the best check-in/informational document that includes recommendations and things to do in the area which truly maximized our stay.Ricky’s property is in pristine condition and was extremely clean when we arrived! The property was in such a beautiful, peaceful surroundings but more importantly. very well maintained. All amenities were in great working condition and we truly enjoyed everything that the home had to offer.Without any hesitation, I give my highest recommendation for this rental property and give it the highest rating possible!Thank you Ricky for being such an amazing and awesome host and welcoming us into your lovely home!!
