4 Seasons at Beech Mountain offers its guests barbecue grills, an arcade/game room, and a picnic area. Public spaces have free WiFi. The family-friendly 4 Seasons at Beech Mountain also features coffee/tea in a common area and a fireplace in the lobby. Self parking is free.
Smoking is allowed in designated areas at this Banner Elk aparthotel.
No air-conditioning. You can open windows and use the provided box fan, but it is hot when you first get back after a day out. Nice kitchenette. Spiral staircase to the bedroom of my suite was inconvenient. Property is older and not recently renovated.
Have you ever seen The Shining? Well thatâs about the best description. Huge, almost deserted hotel, there was only a few cars in the entire parking lot on a weekend in August. Upon check in, I was informed the staff leaves at 5pm & weâre on our own with just an emergency number to call. The hotel restaurant was closed and looked to have been that way for months. Our doorknob to our room was barely hanging on & I'm sure that with one big push the door would open regardless of being locked. Our toilet, in the smallest bathroom ever, did not flush. The entire room furnishings were completely outdated and by the looks of the Murphy bed, letâs just say my back would be better off sleeping in my car. We didnât stay longer than 15 minutes before we left the place for good and found a new hotel where we knew we wouldnât be visited in the middle of the night by two twin girls (The Shining).
Didnt stay for very long because we only needed overnight accomodations. The woman who called me to verify our arrival time and make sure we knew what to do for after hours checkin was very kind and helpful. Great customer service.
I was great to have a kitchen, going out to eat after hiking all day is exhausting. AC would have been nice but the weather was cool enough for just a fan.
Given that we made our reservation on short notice, for one night only, this was the most budget friendly option available for my wife and me in the area. The exterior gives you the feel of a quaint mountain Bavarian chalet. However, it was apparent that their is little attention paid to the details of landscaping. While there is no air condition, sleeping was comfortable with the window open and fans running. 4 Seasons is extremely functional. If you are looking for a place to lay your head at night, it will do the job. Also, it is a budget friendly location to stay with kids, as the larger units easily sleep six people. The frig, oven/stove, sink, and dishwasher would also allow for meal prep. This is a true case of getting what you pay for. The best word to describe the hotel is dated. However, the ownership dropping the required cash to update the hotel would also lead to a much higher price point. It does the job without any extra frills.
The place is definitely worn. However, we were very comfortable with a large space - 2 bathrooms, 2 beds and sleeper sofa as well as small kitchen. Location within Beech Mountain is ideal. There is no AC but I knew that going in. They provided box fans and we were able to keep the room reasonably cool despite the temps outside being close to 80. Overall an okay stay just donât expect an experience like a high end hotel
Almost everything in Beech Mountain is overpriced, but not this pleasant, older hotel. Yes, it is a bit dated and could use a little spiffing up, but our suite was roomy, comfortable, and well-equipped. The central location cannot be beat. The staff was friendly and attentive and responded promptly to minor problems.
The A/C in our room didnt put out cool air, being humid and July, it was miserably stuffy in the room and sleeping, even with box fans and windows open was miserable.
Love the location, but could use some upgrades to A/C, and beds.
The 4 Seasons at Beech Mountain is an older property ~ there is NO air conditioning and opening a window at night when it's 90 degrees does not help. The phone in my room was disconnected. There is NO elevator so you have to schlep your luggage and stuff up stairs to your room without help.
A bit dated but perfect for our outdoor activities.
30 minutes to multiple hikes.
20 minutes to gourmet restaurants. 20 to 45 minutes to shopping a the movie theater. The best of both.
Stayed in both the corner suite (largest unit available) and an efficiency (smallest unit available). Both are well kitted out for a self-sufficient stay with full kitchen, nice bath tub for soaking after a long day or hard work (or hard play).
