quiet location
Posted Sep. 30, 2023 on HomeAwaythis property is in a quiet neighbourhood with excellent tram links to the centre of Bordeaux and the airport , Brigitte was very helpful and met us at the tram stop which is less than a 5 minute walk away, we found that the property is well described on the website...
we had an enjoyable stay and would recommend it

A lovely place to stay
Posted Sep. 10, 2023 on HomeAwayThis is a truly lovely place to stay. The house is delightful, furnished and decorated in the French style. It is very comfortable and had everything we needed for out stay. We had hot weather for our visit and it was very welcome to escape to a naturally cool house. Location is another plus: this is a pleasant area and convenient for exploring the city centre by tram.
We received a very warm welcome from Brigitte who took some time to tell us about the house, and also about the best areas to explore. She remained in contact with us throughout and we thank her most warmly for her hospitality. We recommend her charming house without reservation.

Great Base for Exploring Bordeaux
Posted Sep. 4, 2023 on HomeAwayWe had a fabulous stay at Brigitte's lovely house. Very comfortable for four adults.
Conveniently situated for the airport and great that there was a garage for our hire car.
The local area has a couple of small supermarkets, a deli and a boulangerie that had everything we needed.
The local restaurants were closed unfortunately for annual holidays (congés) during the week we visited, but there were so many to choose from in Bordeaux centre and the tram into the city is very convenient.
We visited in mid August and it was a bit hot for us towards the end of the week at 35 degrees! Still, we loved our stay and would return. Thank you so much Brigitte

Bordeaux
Posted Jun. 10, 2023 on HomeAwayWe had a wonderful stay at this rental home in Bordeaux. The location was fantastic, close to a tram with only a 15-20 minute ride to centre of Bordeaux. The home was well stocked with all the amenities, communication with the owner was excellent, she provided many extras including English books on attractions in the area.
The home was even better than the pictures revealed on the website. We would definitely stay here again.

Lovely stay in BORDEAUX
Posted Jul. 8, 2022 on HomeAwayThe host, Bridgette is terrific. She met us at the property, gave us a thorough explanation of her home, the appliances and the neighborhood. The house is well equipped and very comfortable. It is about 1.7km from the city center which necessitates a tram ride to the city from the stop that is close to the house. You should know that there are very few taxis or Ubers around Bordeaux so public transportation (bus or tram is a must). The only downside of the property is that it is not air conditioned. Otherwise it is a lovely, well equipped residence with the best host that we have encountered on our trip so far.

Privacy plus
Posted Jun. 15, 2022 on HomeAwayLovely setting. Eclectic furnishings give the house a unique feel. Well stocked kitchen for pots and utensils but a few basics such as olive oil and vinegar would be nice.
Hostess was most gracious and helpful. The bottles of wine she left us were most appreciated. The garage was a definite plus.
very handy to tram system. Bathroom was well equipped and shower was enormous.

Convenient City Living
Posted Sep. 26, 2019 on HomeAwayStylish antique decor with all the conveniences including private garage and ice maker. We found our way around the neighborhood and the city with little difficulty. Bordeaux offers s rich history—great restaurants and special architecture. The house was perfectly situated for access to everything and the owner was very helpful.

Home away from home
Posted Sep. 14, 2019 on HomeAwayThe property was everything that it appeared to be from the photographs posted online. The local area around St Augustin was quiet with a small village feel about it. There were some local shops within a 5 minute walk, including a boulangerie.
The house provided us with all the space required for a couple, good beds, a great bathroom with ample shower space. The kitchen was big enough for what is needed on holiday. We sat in the garden for breakfast each day, enjoying the early autumn sunshine.
The Bordeaux tram system ‘A’ service is a five minute walk and takes you into the centre of the city in about 10 minutes, once in town there are so many things to see and do with restaurants and brasseries on every corner.
While in the area, we also visited Arcachon, Entre deux Mers and St Emilion, this let us get a good feel for the surrounding countryside, great food and fine wines.
Brigitte was a great host, meeting us on our arrival and coming back to the house before we left, she has a myriad of information, books and paperwork relating to Bordeaux and surrounds.
I think Brigitte and my wife enjoyed being able to speak French to each other, as I struggled to understand with my schoolboy standard.
All in all, a great place to stay and a fantastic town to visit.
