This thatched-roof house, which is over 100 years old and has low ceilings (about 2.10 meters), stays nice and cool in the summer and cozy in the winter. I hope you’ll feel just as at home in this charming little cottage with its “quirks” as I do.
On sunny days, you can simply unwind on the terrace of the quiet garden or relax on the comfortable patio furniture after a lovely day trip.
The ground-floor apartment (non-smoking, living area approx. 40 m²) is located on the left side of the house and is suitable for two guests. Both units share the front door; the separate apartment doors are located in the hallway. The apartment, which features a terrace and a view of the garden, has one bedroom, a living room with a flat-screen TV, a fully equipped kitchen with a refrigerator that includes a freezer compartment, an oven, a microwave, and a small dishwasher, as well as a bathroom with a shower and a separate toilet. The terrace features a beach chair, a small table with two chairs, and an ashtray. Free bicycles, lounge chairs, and an electric grill are available in the shed adjacent to the garden. Free Wi-Fi and parking are, of course, provided.
The house has two vacation apartments.
The municipality of Bordelum is divided into a total of 10 villages and has a total population of 2,000; it is idyllically situated for those seeking relaxation and offers interesting opportunities for nature enthusiasts. The thatched-roof cottage is located in the Sterdebüll district. To the west of the municipality lies the marsh. Stollberg features extensive wooded areas, as well as the Stollberg Nature Discovery Area and the Bordelumer and Langenhorner Heide Nature Reserve with its heathland nature trail.
Flensburg is 49 km from the apartment, and Husum is 23 km away. The nearest airport is Wyk (Föhr), 25 km away. In 15 minutes by car, you’ll reach the ferry terminal in Dagebüll, which serves the islands and Halligs. This makes a day trip to places like Föhr or Amrum easy. The Hamburg Hallig is just a 10-minute drive away. There’s a bakery and a farm stand right in Bordelum, and you’ll find additional shopping options in Bredstedt, 5 km away. There’s also a swimming pool and a playground in town.
