Mulubinba SeaHouse - Barco Hotel
The Mulubinba more than a home boat reflects a unique experience of sleep, relaxation and leisure aboard a true vessel, full of symbolism, history and uniqueness. Anchored in paradise and bathed by the unique waters of Ria Formosa, the possibilities for activities are immense, including diving, visits to deserted beaches, enjoying the sunrise and a stunning sunset.
The Mulubinba has two bedrooms with a delightful sea view, both with fitted wardrobes and a private bathroom, and a combined living room with kitchen where light meals can be prepared with various equipment. Special meals are available upon request and at a surcharge. Outside the boat has plenty of space with two bimini awnings (top and bottom decks) which ensure plenty of shade, a sun lounger and a lounge area on the top deck with an enviable panorama view. There is also a table with two chairs at the stern of the boat for meals. Lastly and for a beautiful swim there is a wooden platform at the rear of the boat house that will allow you to dive and climb onto the boat via a ladder that sits in the water. There are also two SUP (Stand Up Paddle) with paid ones available.
RNAAT Registration 881/2019
Mulubinba during November / March will be available at OlhĂŁo Marina, for a lighter stay and access to the cultural skeleton of OlhĂŁo. An additional fee will be charged if a stay at sea is desired.
Please note that the house boat does not have a captain and is anchored and there is no possibility for them to sail the boat. From OlhĂŁo Marina, guests will be transferred to the boat by water taxi.
We had a fabulous weekend on the boat. The hosts met us at the dock and took us out there, explained how everything worked. There were also a few nice surprises left for us ! We were with our 2 sons age 11 and 15 and they had a fabulous time jumping off the top of the boat, paddle boarding, swimming over to the nearby beach and driving around in the dingy. We went over to the village of Culatra which was a wonderful traditional fishing village - all on the beach with no roads! We walked along the walkways to the beach on the south side of the Island, literally miles of pristine white sand and clear blue water. At the end there was a little town called Faro, with a lighthouse and nice beach bar for lunch and back to the boat for the lovely sunset. All in a fantastic experience ! Would have liked to stay another couple of days!
Culatra is one of the only remainig "wild" beaches in Europe, and Ria Formosa one of the most beautifum scenaries in portugal. The Mulubinba is the way to live this mixture of sea, ria, beach and boat life.
Comfortable and cosy, she gives you the chance to live the Ria the best possible way, aboard a classic boat.
