Welcome to The Loan, a charming traditional fisherman’s cottage nestled in the peaceful village of Achiltibuie, located in the stunning Wester Ross region of the Scottish Highlands. Our home offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, carefully preserved by the owner, Nick, to maintain its original character without over-modernizing. Whether you’re exploring the breathtaking beaches, hills, lochs, or scenic walking trails, The Loan provides the perfect spot to relax and unwind.

Upon entering, you’ll be greeted by a spacious porch that leads into a cozy living room adorned with original wood paneling. To your right, you’ll find a quiet study, perfect for reading or writing. The fully-equipped kitchen features a traditional oil-fired range, while the adjoining sunroom brings in natural light and serene views of the surrounding landscape.

Upstairs, you’ll discover two comfortable bedrooms—one double and one twin—along with a large bathroom at the back of the house. With access to the entire property, you’ll feel right at home as you enjoy the rustic charm of this peaceful retreat.

We may be new to Airbnb, but we’re not new to hosting, and we look forward to making your stay special. Come experience the warmth of The Loan and let the natural beauty of the Highlands make your stay unforgettable.

General rubbish is the black bin. Paper/cardboard the blue bin. Plastic and tins the green bin. Bins are at the bottom of the drive outside the small gate
It would be great if you could take glass bottles and clean jars to the bottle bank as you head out of Achiltibuie by the count depot
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
