Welcome to Firefly Bay, a luxury lakefront vacation home with plenty of space, spectacular main lake views, deep water, and all the amenities to make your lake vacation a memorable one.

As soon as you step in the front door, the expansive views of the lake will take your breath away. Drop your bags, explore the more than 5200 square feet of living space on 3 levels, and prepare to enjoy all that Firefly Bay Lake Gaston has to offer!

House features and amenities:
5 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms, perfect for multi-family or multigenerational groups.

Fully-stocked kitchen with table and counter seating for 14, plus outdoor seating for 6 on the deck.

Weber grill with built-in propane line, no need for propane tanks.

Hot tub with gorgeous views of the lake.

Comfy screen porch, perfect for morning coffee or afternoon naps.

Lower level lounge space with pool table, bar with icemaker and blender, TV, puzzles, books, board games and PlayStation 4.

Garage game room with ping pong, foosball, pop-a-shot, arcade games, and cornhole, plus an extra refrigerator.

Lake amenities:
Two level dock with sundeck and jump gates (if you dare)!

Kayaks/paddleboards, floating swim mat, and inflatables. Life jackets included!

Pontoon available for rent (23 foot Suncatcher with 115 HP motor, great for cruising or tubing!).

For guests bringing a boat, a public boat ramp is located less than 5 minutes from our home. Tie up on the cleats on the side of the dock.

Bedrooms/Bathrooms:
Main level bedroom with king bed and en suite bathroom with jacuzzi tub.

Upper level bedroom suite with 2 queen beds and additional adjoining space (great for families!). Pack 'N Play and full size air mattress are available (please bring your own sheets for these).

Upper level bedroom with queen bed and full bathroom just across the hall.

Upper level bunk room with 3 twin-over-double bunk beds and a fold-out sofa bed, plus an en suite bathroom.

Lower level bedroom with queen bed and full size futon, with full bathroom just steps away. Bring your own bedding for the futon.

Linens:
Bath towels and bed linens are provided, with beds made up prior to your arrival. Please bring your own lake towels.

Pets:
We love hosting guests with dogs! To ensure a comfortable experience for everyone, please follow these guidelines:

- We allow up to 2 dogs less than 50 pounds with a Pet fee of $175.
- Please keep dogs on a leash at all times when outside.
- No dogs on the furniture, including beds and couches.

TV's and internet:
We have Smart TV's throughout the home with YouTube TV included (use your own accounts for other streaming services). High-speed fiber internet with whole-house WiFi provides reliable and fast internet access for our guests.

What to Bring:
We provide 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom and 1 roll of paper towels in the kitchen. Please bring extra paper towels, toilet paper and tissues.

Please bring extra hand soap as well as bar soap, shampoo, dishwasher soap/pods, and laundry detergent.

Please bring your own plastic bags/plastic wrap/aluminum foil and garbage bags (13 gallons for the kitchen, 30-40 gallon for the garage). A broom, dustpan, mop, vacuum and dustbuster are located in the laundry room and are available for guests' use.

We have both a Keurig and a 12-cup Mr Coffee coffeemaker.

Firewood is provided for our guests' use.

Please inquire about pontoon rental (must be arranged in advance and booked for guests' entire stay).

Additional info:
Please note that we have a Kwikset Smart Lock and Ring doorbell at the front door for guests' convenience and security.

We can accommodate a maximum of 16 adults/19 total guests.

No smoking, no parties or events. We require a copy of the primary renter's drivers license for all reservations.

We are pleased to welcome guests to our family vacation home who will treat our home and our neighbors with the same care and respect that we do. We can't wait for you to experience Firefly Bay!

Fantastic Week

Travel to Lake Gaston with my entire family (16 of us total with an age range from 4 years old to 84) and we had an amazing time. The house was beautiful, the dock (swimming and fishing) was incredible, the pontoon boat a blast, the view amazing with plenty of space to relax, have meals together, enjoy family time, play games and just unwind. Adam was a fantastic host who provided fantastic information about the home, the area, our stay and offered great help along the way. It was a hall of fame vacation and one our family will never forget.

Amazing property on the quieter end of the lake

This house has it all, pool table, hot tub, game room, table tennis, bar, large tvs in the bedrooms, kids bunk room. It has a mack daddy boat house complete with jumping platform, and 3 boat lifts. All the neccessary lifejackets and water toys you can think of- the splash pad was a crowd favorite- kayaks paddlepoards etc!We stayed a week with two families and a grandpa (11 total) and we couldn't have asked for a better place to spend the time. There was an endless supply of things to do at the lake house, which is important because Lake Gaston is in a very rural setting. The house was stocked with pretty much anything you can think of, and the boat was big enough to accomodate our entire party if need be, though we never had all 11 on at one time. We were worried about seeing fireworks on the 4th, so we set out on the boat, but right across the lake, one of the houses put on what seemed to be a professional quality fireworks show that lasted over 30 minutes! It was a vacation to be remembered for all the kids, and they all consider themselves professional lake tubers now.Adam was a wonderful host and made some accomodations for us that he didn't have to. We were super grateful to be in such good hands at such a beautuful property. I spent a lot of time going back and forth between different properties before pulling the trigger on this one. It was the most expensive by a bit, but the best by far! I can't think of a single negative about the property

Fantastic Lake House!

Beautiful home located on a peaceful lake. We take a family vacation with 3 generations every year. This was one of the best! Total Package

Spent a long Labor Day weekend here. The home is beautifully situated in a community, with fabulous main lake views. There is just a ton of space for everyone to spread out, both inside and out. We had S’mores around the fire pit on the terrace outback and the kids loved jumping off the second story of the boat dock into the lake. We took advantage of the boat rental and spent countless hours tubing out behind the house. We come to the lake frequently so know to get down to Goat Island to tie up and let the little ones enjoy the beach and jumping off the dock. We grilled steaks up on the grill on the back deck and enjoyed making meals in the fully-stocked kitchen. Plenty of big screens to watch some football on as well! We’ve rented around the lake, but I can’t think of a location, on the main lake, that had as much as Firefly Bay! You can just book this property - no need to keep searching!

Perfection!

In the words of my 14-year-old daughter, “This was the best vacation I’ve ever had!” The neighborhood is quiet and beautiful; the house is spotless, decorated beautifully, and it was big enough for our large group of 19. The kitchen is very well stocked; we had absolutely everything we needed. The lake was perfect. The mayflies greeted us the first day or 2, but then we didn’t see them. They don’t bite, so they were never an issue. Hardly any bugs at all. I don’t think anyone ever used bug spray. Do yourself a favor and rent the pontoon boat, which is very reasonably priced. We used it every day and had a blast tubing and just exploring the lake. The provided kayaks and paddle boards that were used every day too. The floating mat was a hit as well. The hot tub is perfectly situated to enjoy the views of the lake. Speaking of views, we loved the fact that the house is on the main lake and could see the lake while relaxing inside. There is a beautiful Great Blue Heron that lives to the right of the house (standing on the dock looking at the lake). It was cool to see him every day. He will fly away if you come close on a kayak but doesn’t seem bothered by the boat. Adam and Rachel are amazing hosts and super responsive to questions. It’s obvious they want their guests to have a wonderful experience during their stay. We are so happy we decided to rent this house and plan on returning as soon we can!

Beautiful Lake House

It was our first time in a lake house, and we fell in love with it. We had so much fun with the pontoon, kayaks and paddle boards! We watched the sunset everyday while on the kayaks and paddle boards, it was very, very peaceful. The hot tub was a great way to end the day. The house has everything you need, it was very clean and very comfortable for a big family. The game room was so much fun for everyone! Adam was very helpful through out the check in and check out process. We can’t wait to go back!

Beautiful home on a beautiful lake! House is huge and just gorgeous. Kids had a blast jumping off the dock, swimming, fishing. Caught 3 huge catfish off the dock. Must have been 35 pounds! Fire pit and hot tub were a hit! Will definitely be back!

"Pause, Plan, & Play" - what a great place to stay

Our family decided to get away for a few days during spring break for a retreat outing dubbed "Pause, Plan, & Play." We couldn't have picked a better venue. Pause Amazing views of the lake from every floor, comfy furniture for sitting and chatting (love the screened-in porch), and the kids even took turns helping to cook in the fully stocked kitchen. The house proved a great break from our busy lives and offered a time to reconnect with each other. Plan We got to welcome the sunrise doing yoga on the dock allowing us to ground ourselves for the day. Then throughout our stay we had amazing family conversations in the hot tub - with a picturesque view of a tranquil lake. Not everyone will finalize their summer camp schedules this way... but it was just an amazing place to facilitate discussions. Play Tons of fun to be had in the game room (I'm still undefeated in ping pong). My kids had never played billiards before and had the opportunity to give it a try on the pool table located in the basement. We took the kayaks out on the water - although the water was still a little chilly. Here's a testament to the magic of Firefly Bay, we managed to complete a full Monopoly game without a single fight!!!!! Grab your friends, bring your famiy - Firefly Bay makes for an incredible get away.

Super fun lakehouse vacation!

This house is amazing! So much room and perfectly set on Lake Gaston! The boat rental is a must do-we had hours of fun tubing on the lake! It is a fairly secluded property so we made full use of the spacious dining area and cooked each night utilizing the well stocked kitchen. The only critisim I would have about this area of the house is that the oven is a little small; especially compared to everything else in the home; but managable. The hottub had some issues during our stay that did not get resolved but we did still enjoy it somewhat. There are a lot of bugs so be prepared. But the house is wonderful-the downstairs entertainment area with the pool table, bar, big TV, etc..was a wonderful bonus. Having all the kayaks, paddleboards, etc right there was such a nice ammenity! Beautiful views, amazing house, super fun stay!

Luxury lakehouse

The house is as stunning in person as it is in the photos. It offers tons of space and privacy for large groups. The lake is healthy and amenities are top notch. Swimming in the lake is enjoyable and the teens enjoyed jumping from the dock. Kayaks and paddleboards and floats are in great condition. We should have rented the pontoon but there was a bit of a rainy forecast for the week. (Never was a problem though) The fire pit, pool table game room and jacuzzi were excellent for evening social times and we had tons of laughs The water pressure was great and there are enough bathrooms for everyone. The beds are very comfortable. The screened in porch is lovely for rainy mornings. The hosts are very responsive even for things beyond their control. We came during the height of mayfly season but the hose was all we needed and there was no disruption to our comfort. This was NOT a buggy lake because there are great breezes and water current. Highly recommend!!!

Great House, Not So Great Location

If you’re looking for remote, this is the place for you. The house is beautiful, but there is nothing nearby for at least 25 minutes. Also, be ready to lug all your own garbage to a dump, because that’s what part of your stay requires.

Great week at the lake

We absolutley loved our stay at Firefly Bay. It was a perfect spot for our large family to all be together. We spent the week boating, tubing, swimming and fishing. The property was wonderful and supplied with all we needed to enjoy our stay. It was very clean, and Adam and Racher were great hosts. We had to contact them a few times with questions and each time they were prompt and very attentive and helpful. I highly recommend this property!

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Firefly Bay on Lake Gatson. The house had everything you can imagine and more. Every room has a beautiful lakeview and perfect sleeping arrangements for multiple families. We were able to enjoy the pontoon boat, tubing, kayaks, and endless hours in the gameroom. Our kids enjoyed fishing at sunrise and making s'mores at sunset. We would highly recommend this house, there is something for everyone. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!

Firefly Bay

Our group had an excellent time at Firefly Bay! The house is just as pretty in person as it is in the images, if not prettier. The views are absolutely amazing. The house was extremely well equipped and the owners have thought of everything to make the stay wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed everything this fabulous home has to offer, including the 2 tiered dock, hot tub, nights by the fire pit, and fun game room area. 5 PLUS Star Home!!

Great house!

The house and property were exactly how described. We had a couple families with several small kids. The location is perfect for tubing and water skiing since it’s not that busy of an area on the lake. Water is clean and calm! Only negative is that there is no yard. The property in on a hill and there is no flat area for kids to play. Luckily everyone in our group loves the lake and didn’t need a yard. Would definitely stay here again!
