Highland Heaven, owned by Bill and Kathy Handley, part of the Breck Heaven property group, is a Family Friendly spacious and luxury home located in the prestigious Jack Nicklaus Golf and Ski neighborhood of The Highlands—one of Colorado's best kept secrets in the backcountry of Breckenridge—Highland Heaven is the perfect destination for couples and families desiring a beautiful retreat just minutes away from an array of outdoor activities. Highland Heaven is a stunning mountain vacation home that features nearly 4000 square feet of luxury living space with high-end finishes throughout on an acre of gorgeous wooded property. This custom-designed 4 bedroom / 4.5 bath masterpiece offers the secluded feel of a true mountain getaway, yet is conveniently located 5 minutes from downtown Breckenridge. It combines amazing scenery with relaxed luxury and comfort, making it the ideal setting for your next Breckenridge vacation. Highland Heaven which is part of the Breckheaven group of properties, is a vacation home that is lavishly appointed with everything you need to feel at home. The main level features a beautiful great room with an open layout, 20-foot vaulted ceilings, large windows to bring in the breathtaking outdoor views and natural light, a huge gas stone fireplace, a mounted flatscreen TV, and plenty of room for relaxing and socializing. Adjacent to the great room is a fully-equipped gourmet kitchen that includes extra-large stainless steel appliances and stunning granite countertops. Serving meals for large groups is easy with ample seating for 17 guests: a beautiful 10-person dining room table, 3 seats at the bar, and a cozy high-top table nearby that seats an additional 4 people. You’ll also love escaping to the expansive deck where you can stargaze, soak in the amazing hot tub, or enjoy a relaxing drink while breathing in the crisp mountain air.

Highland Heaven has four exquisite bedrooms, each with their own private bathroom and storage, this home easily accommodates multiple couples or families who want to vacation together while having their own space. Highland Heaven is also packed with entertainment amenities, including multiple gathering spaces with flat-panel TVs, WiFi Internet throughout the home, cable, a DVD/VCR with movie selections, and card/board games.

On the Upper Level, you’ll find an elegantly-decorated, spacious master suite with a king size bed complete with a fireplace, and an expansive, private bathroom with double sinks, a gorgeous glass-enclosed shower, and a Jacuzzi tub with travertine marble throughout. On the same floor, there is a second bedroom that includes a queen size bed, a private bath, travertine tile, and breathtaking 10-foot, east-facing windows. All bathrooms have in-floor radiant heating.

Downstairs, there is a den with comfortable couches and chairs, a gas fireplace, and a large flat screen TV for ultimate entertainment. This level includes two spacious bedrooms, one with a queen size bed, and the other a queen size bed and two twin beds. Both bedrooms have their own private baths and storage.

Highland Heaven has a laundry room with a full-size washer and dryer. There is an over sized, heated two car garage where you can store your skis and boards in the winter or your bikes and hiking gear in the summer. The home also has a snow/mud room for shoes and boots. The amenities are incredible!

Highland Heaven Winter Activities
In the winter months, you can ski in the world-renowned Breckenridge Ski Area, just 5 minutes to the Gondola by car. Copper and Keystone Mountains are just 20 minutes away if you want to explore other skiing areas. There are many cross-country and snow-shoe trails nearby. Families with kids will enjoy sledding at Carter Park (our home has multiple sleds stored in the garage as a courtesy for guests’ use) and snow tubing at Frisco Adventure Park. Other winter activities include dog sledding, ice skating, snowmobiling, and sleigh rides. The possibilities are endless!

Highland Heaven Summer Activities:
Highland Heaven owned by Bill Handley has much to offer In the non-winter months, the Breckenridge area has an incredible trail system which will keep even the most avid mountain biker or hiker happy. Whether you want to explore the beautiful mountain views or search for wildflowers, you’ll be amazed at the variety of trails offered. For golfers, the 27-hole Jack Nicklaus-designed Breckenridge Golf Course is just a two-minute drive away. Four additional golf courses are within 30 minutes. If you like to fish, Breckenridge is home to world-class fly fishing on the Blue River, a crystal clear mountain stream. You can also spend a day on nearby Lake Dillon, which offers a wide array of activities like fishing, sailing, kayaking, windsurfing, paddle boarding, and boating. There are too many delectable restaurants to mention, but we will name a few with your welcome packet. Whatever your interest, Breckenridge has something to offer everyone. You’ll make memories to last a lifetime! Note, Air Conditioning does not exist in private Breck Homes as the temperature gets down to 55 degrees in July and August. Answers to some frequently asked questions:
1. Kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, cooking supplies, silverware, crock pot etc
2. A basic assortment of spices is provided.
3. Coffee filters are provided and all homes have a regular style coffee maker. HH also has a Keurig.

The best week in breck!

The home was perfect, clean, comfy beds, kitchen had all the necessities for cooking and beyond. Hot tub was amazing after skiiing all day and the host was always available when needed and very good with communication. Wonderful stay at Highland Heaven

Highland Heaven was superbly furnished and equipped and provided sufficient space for our multi-generational family of ten. The adults enjoyed the cooking/dining space and the relaxing views from each window and the grandkids enjoyed walking the wooded lot and playroom in the lower level. Peaceful retreat

The house was perfect for our large family gathering (age range 6 months to 88 years). We had plenty of space and the house had more supplies and amenities available than any house I have ever rented. We all loved sitting on the deck and watching the birds (especially the hummingbirds). We also saw red fox, deer and a coyote. The owner is pleasant and very responsive. The location was a quick drive to town but far enough away to enjoy peace & quiet in a beautiful surrounding. I highly recommend this property!

Breckenridge Heaven

Wonderful house as advertised. The owner, Bill, was very helpful and contacted us before the stay to provide information about the home and the area. We were lucky and did have a moose walking through the trees in back. Bill also followed up after our stay to make sure everything was in great shape during the stay. The house was perfect for our family gathering with lots of room and everything in great working order. It was a great vacation that included hiking, biking and white water rafting. Hope to be back and stay again.

Large beautiful house in Breckenridge

We had a wonderful long weekend at The Highlands in Breckenridge. There were two families of 4, and plenty of space to spread out and be comfortable. We loved the porch and hot tub, as well as all the living areas. We were particularly impressed with the kitchen and dining areas - there was plenty of cookware and dishware in excellent condition, and we used the gas grill several times. Everything was very comfortable and worked perfectly. We also appreciated that the owner was very available and responsive to any questions we had about the house during our entire stay. We will definitely stay at this house again!

Spacious, Well Appointed and Comfortable

Spent 3 weeks in August here with my wife and 3 adult children (first week vacation/next two "working from 'vacation' home"). This house is clean, well-kept, very roomy, wifi handled all of us online at the same time, and with the best equipped kitchen I've ever found in a vacation rental. Set on a quiet cul-de-sac amid towering Lodgepole Pines, lots of birds frequenting the feeders, foxes and deer ambling through the backyard. Easy 8 minute drive to Breck and Frisco's restaurants, breweries, and shops. Hiking trail access just 50 yards behind the house. Huge hot tub on the deck with views of the Divide to the East. Bill is a very a very welcoming and attentive owner. A great experience - thank you Bill!

Awesome house

This was the perfect house for our family. Plenty of space for kids and adults. Close enough to town, but far enough away to have some privacy as well. Bill Handley has provided everything you need.

Breckenridge Luxury Vacation

This was one of the most accommodating properties we have ever stayed at. It was located in a beautiful setting, and was close to everything we needed, from skiing, to tubing, sledding, ice skating, restaurants, and shops. The owners were extremely informative of all activities, events, as well as supplied everything we needed for our stay. They were also very kind and friendly and made our stay feel very warm and inviting. We will definitely be back to hopefully enjoy this beautiful home during the Summer Months. We highly recommend this property to everyone.

A Little Slice of Highland Heaven

Wonderful place to stay! Beautiful home, very quiet neighborhood and great organization from owner made this a perfect stay for our large family. Nice large kitchen with everything you would need. I would recommend a few extra towels or maybe bring your own. We had so much fun though and appreciate all the help making our trip so memorable.

Heavenly Vacation Home for a Heavenly Vacation

August vacation

Lovely cabin in beautiful location, quiet and yet only 10 minutes into Breckenridge - plenty of space for six of us. We enjoyed the hot tub and views from the deck. The kitchen is well equipped and the whole house is very spacious for gatherings as well as giving everyone adequate privacy when needed. The hiking around Breckenridge is great!
