The property is so beautifully decorated, has a great atmosphere and outstanding staff. We felt recharged after our stay there and highly recommend The Three Cocks
Beautifully and thoughtfully restored with a wonderful made-to-order breakfast that goes beyond the usual.

Very enjoyable stay.
It is a lovely place, quite quirky but that work is in is favour.
We had to self check in because the reception was closed but that wasn’t an issue as there were clear instructions including what we wanted for breakfast.
The restaurant was closed for refurbishment I think but the Old Barn is just across the road and serving good food for a reasonable price so no issues.
Breakfast was nice too. Overall I would recommend. I would imagine it will be fantastic in the summer when the bat and restaurant is open and you can sit in the garden.
Really lovely old building nicely decorated, would have liked to have a gin and tonic by the fire in the evening but there was no bar when we stayed, can't wait to come back!
What an amazing hotel! Stumbled upon it by accident and I’m so glad I did, I slept so peacefully in the magnificent bed. The whole place has been decorated beautifully and maintained the character of the building!
Wonderful stay whilst we explored Hay on Wye for a few days which was a short drive away. Very comfortable and clean and lovely cooked breakfast although not much continental selection. Had an open fire inside the entrance where you could sit and relax. We managed to lock ourselves out of our room leaving the key inside and the property were contacted easily and they gave us a spare key to get back in. We would stay again.
Only tip for staying is to book restaurants nearby and research in advance as we struggled on the Sunday to find somewhere for an evening meal lots of local places stop serving Sunday lunch at around 3-4pm. There is also a lovely garden centre with a restaurant a short distance from here.
We had an excellent stay at the Three Cocks Hotel. The hotel is very well furnished, exceptionally clean, super comfortable, and cosy.
Jessica and the team were very helpful and accommodating - the breakfast was lovely.
Location-wise it was perfect to get into Hay-on-Wye by car and taxi (but do book ahead of time).
Fantastic hotel, really atmospheric and cosy, we sat up late in the panelled lounge chatting, perfect venue for friends to catch up.
Breakfast was cooked to order and really delicious.
We had an excellent stay at the Three Cocks Inn. Slight communication issue before and at check in but room was warm, clean and comfy. Very hospitable hosts in the morning, would stay again.
The B&B was a last minute booking to break a journey up. So glad we selected this property.
The house was very well presented. Rooms had everything you could need including plenty of space. We opted for breakfast and that was excellent value.
Despite the property being located next to a busy main road it was really well insulated for sound with very little to no disturbance.
The area had lots of routes and walks plus the pub opposite was really hospitable for an evening meal and drink.
Lovely country b&b with full of character. Paying extra for breakfast was worthwhile where all dietary needs are catered for. Convenient pub across the road for an evening meal.
Great trip to the 3 Cocks! Lovely room, very clean - with everything you need. Good welcome when we arrived. Breakfast was cooked to order and very good value. Ingredients were great quality. Everything cooked to perfection - poached eggs specifically! Would recommend and would stay again.
A beautiful hotel with so much character and charm. No floor was straight and the walls thick with history!! Beautifully kept and decorated to a tasteful high standard. The welcome was warm. The team were helpful friendly and fun. Everything felt opulent and quirky. The breakfast was delicious. The sausage and bacon were a high quality meat. Cooked to perfection. Not too fatty ( which I hate). The coffee was a decent strength and seemingly endless ( a little like this review ?!!).
One thing I’d change a nearby evening meal but if fairness Hay is only a 5 min drive away.
Only fault was …. Where’s the ghost ?!! Didn’t see one and the 3 Cocks must be haunted !!!! Loved it there and will be returning and recommending to others
