Arrowhead Ridge Retreat is a remote, well designed and spacious home with long range views of the surrounding mountains and Lake Jocassee. It is located at the end of a well-maintained gravel road, deep within the private Round Mountain development. This 2,600 sq/ft home is conveniently positioned near downtown Brevard NC (~30 min. drive), Dupont State Recreational Forest (~45 min. drive), Art Loeb & Black Balsam Knob Trailhead w/ phenomenal views (1hr drive) and Gorges State Park (~35 min. drive). It is ~75 minutes SW of Asheville/Biltmore Estate and downtown Hendersonville NC. The property directly adjoins the Wilds Christian Camp/Conference which borders Gorges State Park. Transylvania County is "The Land of Waterfalls" and home to approximately 250 cascades and waterfalls. Hiking, biking, antiquing, tubing, kayaking, canoeing, concerts, fishing and relaxing in quiet solitude at the home await you.

Amenities include a huge 15’ x 42’ SW facing rear deck with two picnic tables, multiple chairs, tables and a charcoal grill. This deck offers you panoramic views of the surrounding mountains into northern South Carolina. The open living/dining area features a wood-burning stone fireplace, high vaulted ceiling and many large windows with fabulous views. The clean kitchen also has a beautiful view and is fully stocked with coffee makers (drip not Keurig), Bullet food processor, blender, new spice rack and four slice toaster. The knives are sharp (new Henckel set), and the full array of pots and pans are classic, copper bottom Revere Ware. Enjoy the taste of the fresh mountain well water, no need for bottled water or filters. The washer and dryer are located on the main level as is BR 2 which features two Twin XL beds and exterior door to the rear deck. A full bathroom is also located on the main level.

The second level loft (BR 1) features a master suite with King bed, private bath, vaulted ceiling, seating areas, and a long-range mountain view.

BRs 3, 4 and 5 are located on the ground level. BR 3 has a Queen bed and BR 4 and 5 each have a Twin XL bed. All three ground level bedrooms have multiple SW facing windows. The 3rd bathroom includes a utility sink and counter space which is separated from the toilet, shower and vanity sink area by a door. This level also includes a bonus room with a foosball table, seating and a 3.3 cubic foot refrigerator for extra capacity. An exterior door leads you to the shaded, lower-level deck where you can enjoy relaxing in the hammock. An outdoor hot/cold shower (great after muddy bike rides or long hikes) is in the works to be completed by Summer 2026. All the doors and windows of Arrowhead Ridge Retreat have screens so you can fully enjoy the fresh mountain breezes!

Outside the home you can enjoy a fire area and for bikers, you will find two convenient bike wash areas. Ample parking is available with plenty of space for six vehicles.

Cell and Internet services with WIFI are good. The intentional absence of TVs will further enhance the remote and peaceful charm of Arrowhead Ridge Retreat while allowing you to enjoy the many books, board games, chess and puzzles provided. This part of NC offers much to explore and experience outdoors including downtown Brevard and the Brevard Music Center.

House Rules/Tips: Have Fun!! Minimum age for the responsible party is 25. No pets or smoking and please DO NOT feed the wildlife or leave ANY food or garbage outside. Bears are around. Remember, you are in a wooded rainforest so please bring appropriate clothing. Expect bugs etc. and watch out for an occasional snake. The nearest hospital is Transylvania Regional Hospital (~37 min. drive). Arrowhead Ridge Retreat is equipped with a first aid kit and fire extinguisher both located in the kitchen. You will be ~30 min. from a grocery store so consider picking up needed items on your drive up. If incidental fees are incurred or damage is caused to the property, your credit card may be charged accordingly. Have fun and enjoy your stay!
