Just a one-mile walk from Flamboroughâs magnificent lighthouse, these former agricultural barns, estimated to date back approximately 200 years, have been skillfully converted retaining many original features and exposed roof timbers. The location of these cottages affords far-reaching views, yet close to local amenities; each one has its own sitting-out area complete with garden furniture and with underfloor heating at ground level the holiday cottages remain cosy all year round. Built in 1860, the lighthouse stands guard atop the chalk cliff, as a silent sentinel, protecting shipping off Flamborough Head, and tours are available throughout the summer. The headland overlooks Selwickâs Bay, where visitors can stroll along the chalk paths descending to the sand and gravel beach with its fascinating rock pools. Flamborough Head Golf Course, 3/4 mile, offers a warm welcome for both golfers and diners in their clubhouse and another cliff top course can be found at Bridlington Links, 3 miles. The spectacular chalk cliffs to the north, with their panoramic views, are home to one of the largest nesting seabird colonies in England - RSPB Bempton. The quaint village of Flamborough itself is steeped in a history of piracy, shipwrecks and smuggling. The Heritage Coastal resorts of Bridlington, Filey, and Scarborough are all easily accessible. Shops, pubs and restaurants Ÿ mile.

We had a wonderful time at Gulls Newk..It was a late booking, only a couple of days before we went..Owner said they don't take late booking but did allow us. Location not far from Bempton Cliffs which has a cafe, lovely cliffs, seals, beach no free parking. There is another cliff cafe and beach also free parking! This cafe is wonderful with very reasonable prices and lovely ladies.North landing is beautiful also. There's lots of nice places to visit. Rspb Bempton Cliffs also not far and worth a visit..lovely staff and cafe.

Had an amazing week , clean and charming cottage with some nice features. Power shower was relaxing after long days out only short drive to many locations where we walked all day. The local coastal path walk from the light house was a must. The landlord/owner was easy to contact and helpful. A beautiful dog friendly stay we would recommended.

Location is fantastic- very quiet and a good base to travel to all of the sightseeing locations around (and there are plenty of those!). Cottage is really good size and very comfortable. It also has everything you possibly need for self-catering. Really lovely cottage and would definitely consider staying here again. There isn't much in the nearby Flamborough village, but there are the basics and very easy to go a bit further afield for anything else. A good couple of pubs nearby that are dog-friendly too!

A brilliant well equipped cottage - it was like a home from home.
A brilliant well equipped cottage - it was like a home from home. We particularly liked the leaflets about the attractions, walks etc in the local area. The cottage is in a good location, easy access to the village and a trip to the lighthouse, by foot or car.
I cannot speak highly enough about the cottage, well looked after, very clean, comfy furniture. We really enjoyed our break and we look forward to a return trip.
Really lovely cottage. Would have 10 out of 10 for all but the mattress is very unforgiving with no give in it. Close enough to everything to enjoy. Would go again.
