We had a very enjoyable week at Copper Beech which is situated in a lovely village.
We had a very enjoyable week at Copper Beech which is situated in a lovely village. It would have been nice to have had a welcome pack to greet us or to meet the owners , there wasn't any spare toilet rolls or rubbish bags they would have been helpful. The rooms are spacious albeit rather bare of pictures and in need of updating. It was good to have all the bedrooms ensuite although some of us had dripping taps. The kitchen was well equipped and the swimming pool was a big bonus and the outside garden and orchard are very pretty. We opted to pay extra for the central heating which helped keep down the need to use pound coins in the meter. Overall, the house was fine for family and friends and was a good base to tour the Jurassic coast. There is a very good local pub called The Hare and Hounds about 1 mile away with excellent food and friendly staff. Ken .

Lovely house, clean on arrival with tea/coffee/ biscuits / milk.
Lovely house, clean on arrival with tea/coffee/ biscuits / milk. Pool was cool getting in but just right for swimming. Good size garden with couple of benches. Kitchen very well equipped. I found having to put £1 coins in a meter seemed rather penny pinching on a property of this cost but its not a major drawback if you are prepared. Towels are NOT provided for the pool, just for the house. I had not realized that there was an extra cost if you wanted the central heating (which we didn't) assuming we had paid for it. I don't know how you would organize this. On the down side there were a few things that needed attention, the patio door from the lounge to garden needed the lock /handle repairing. The electric iron flex was not safe, the stair carpet was coming away at the top tread and a minor thing was that a number of the taps could do with new washers as the dripped a lot.

We loved our stay and enjoyed the garden and pool.
We loved our stay and enjoyed the garden and pool. We had lovely weather and it would’ve been nice to have some more seating rather than wooden benches but I’m being very picky! We were unable to open the patio doors but didn’t bother the host and it would likely have been easily rectified. The pool was delightful and so lovely and warm. There were only four of us so we only used the two end bedrooms. They were both clean and comfortable. The shower in the double aspect bedroom was dribbley rather than having any kind of force but it’s a small complaint. There was loads of room and the living space was plenty for a party of 8-10. Kitchen was well equipped and the cooking pans to choose from was great for my cheffy husband. The kitchen got a thorough second cleaning from me on arrival. It was a sunny day and the tops appeared to have been smeared with a cloth. Given the COVID situation I wanted to be completely safe so disinfected all the surfaces and handles myself. I’m a bit of a clean freak though! The location was beautiful. We visited so many beautiful places and beaches. The coin meter for electricity was a bit odd but we’d anticipated this thanks to other reviewers. Just feed the coins in really really slowly. Wait for each one to register before putting in another. I think we will be back for more. Fabulous holiday.

Perfect house for a family get-together.
Perfect house for a family get-together. Plenty of space and very well equipped. En-suite to each bedroom and additional shower room downstairs. Private indoor heated pool was lovely and warm.
Peaceful and quiet location yet easy to get to Weymouth, Lyme Regis, Seatown, West Bay etc for great days out. Lovely big garden with seating outside felt very private and secluded - just sheep, rabbits and a hedgehog. Reassuring to see the Covid risk assessment and appropriate precautions in place.

We had a fantastic time at Copper Beech. The house was suitably clean and tidy, well equipped and the pool was absolutely a highlight. The facilities at the house from kitchen to bathrooms were excellent. We would happily recommend the house to others and would like to stay again.

Excellent and spacious house and the pool was a real bonus.
Excellent and spacious house and the pool was a real bonus. Was surprised to be told just a few days ahead of going that towels were not included for the bathrooms, despite being included when we booked. However the kitchen was well equipped and we all had a great holiday.

Great clean house with its own pool.
Great clean house with its own pool. Slightly annoying paying by meter for electricity, especially when it only registers every 3rd coin! Go prepared as nearest shop is about 1.5 miles away - otherwise it can be a nice walk through the fields to Beaminster if you head down the path just before the church. Check out the notices in the bus shelter - there’s a fish man who visits and pub and pasty delivery services. Overall another very pleasant stay.

We had a great holiday, everyone in our family enjoyed it.
We had a great holiday, everyone in our family enjoyed it. The house is lovely, clean ,comfortable and well equipped. Only criticism if one can call it that, there is too much chlorine in the pool, half an hour and it gets to your eyes. Having said that its great to have a pool if the weather is poor.

A great house with warm pool ideal for children.
A great house with warm pool ideal for children. Very nice to have an ensuite to each room, lots of space downstairs and a well equipped kitchen. (only lacked oven gloves and an ice cream scoop!) Netherbury is beautiful with some lovely walks in the area and an easy drive to great beaches and activities.

The location was amazing.
The location was amazing. The cottage was well equipped, and we had a welcome pack , with tea and coffee. The local pub was shut , the hare and hounds , awaiting new management. We went to the. Half moon , fantastic service , about 2 miles away . The only complaint was the electric meter , which did not work correctly, which the owners were aware , as it had a note in it . Basically it was £5 a day , but to get it to register they amount, you had to put in £7 ! I have stayed at cottages for years , and never had a meter before, was a bit penny pinching for what we paid . Also all the local car parks took coins , none were pay by card , but all coins were needed for the meter . Was a bit of a pain . Also there is a football table in the garage, but no balls , not sure what that was about ? BBQ was very basic . However all that said I would book again , my tip would be to take £40 in pound coins for meter , and car parks .
