We have visited Brixham a number of times but this was definitely the best property we have stayed in. The location was perfect, in between the beach and shops. Nice size and well equipped.The only negatives were that the advert stated no steps but there were at both entrances to the property and also if you have a large vehicle it’s a tight squeeze to get into the garage parking space.

Great location in Brixham

The house is very clean and tidy, right next to Brixham harbour. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped and the spaces are well designed. The only criticism is that it really needs curtains, the light floods the house at 5.00am in morning in summer.

A delightful modern townhouse

3 Ocean Gate is a lovely modern property, with tasteful decor and paintings. It was exceptionally clean and comfortable and everything we needed was provided. The location was great, close to the marina and town. However the description was a bit misleading as it stated that it was a short flat stroll into Brixham. It is a slightly uphill stroll back and there was no mention of the 14 steep steps to get from the road/garage to get into the property, so may not be suitable for less mobile travellers. Having safe secure underground parking was a real bonus. Be aware that the entrance to the parking is very narrow and a big SUV would not get through. I drove a Mazda CX5 and had about 5 inches on each side. Getting in and out required a bit of very careful manoevering.

Tucked away house, near to harbour

Stayed for 3 nights in May. House was clean and tidy, bedding very comfortable. Lacked a few small touches that cost very little but make a big impact, such as hairdryer (unless somewhere I didn't look?), welcome pack..milk and a bottle of wine for example. Would also appreciated an extra set of keys, so we could leave andnlocknup with someone else remaining in the house. Final thing, garage keypad didn't work, so we had to call to get garage access. Very lovely lady came with a key. All in all a good house and location, lovely bedding made for a very happy and enjoyable few days in Brixham.

A home from home

We are a family of 6 and we found 3 Ocean Gate plenty big enough and a superb holiday home for exploring Brixham and the surrounding area. Having the parking space is a real bonus for us but having two cars was sometimes difficult, but that's an issue whenever you stay in Brixham. The rooms are a great size with every creature comfort you can think of. The only one complaint is that of the bed in the master, it's very hard and not that easy to sleep in. BUT everything else was spot on. Thank you for such a great stay and providing a superb house in a wonderful location. We will hopefully be back again.

3 Ocean gate = 11 out of ten

What can you say about Ocean gate ? But brilliant everything there what you need , the master bedroom on the top floor might not be for anyone who has difficulty with stairs , but well worth the effort. Plenty of cutlery and crocs , plenty of pots pans if you want to cook, and if you cook there is a dishwasher. Plus off road parking in the garage , I would just say you can close the garage door from inside but you can't open , I don't think. Apart from that Ocean gate is very good, we will be back .

The property is well situated. Parking is handy though the garage can be difficult to manoeuvre in if other cars are there. Fortunately the outdoors spaces were available during our stay. The kitchen is a good size and well equipped. Unfortunately there were quite a few mice in the cupboards, which was unpleasant. There was mouse bait in the cupboard, but would have rather known mice were being treated before booking as it wasn't that nice. The lounge area was fine but difficult to fit anymore than four people in there. The kitchen floor was pretty dirty so we had to wear footwear when in the kitchen. Bedrooms were OK. Only mainly used the double and the queen on the top floor. Thought did get very light in the early hours. Luckily we hung some towels over blinds so that helped a bit and I managed to cover the big triangular window on the top floor, so that helped with the light. We had few issues with an alarm going off every 30 seconds in the next door property for the first 4 days, but the agent managed to stop that eventually so that was a blessing. Outside space is handy but we didn't really use it as its quite small but good for drying clothes.
