Your perfect country cottage holiday awaitsâŠ
Faith Cottage is a Grade II listed chocolate box cottage, surrounded by fields it is located just outside the quiet village of Bradfield St. George. Dating back to around 1488, we lovingly restored Faith Cottage in 2005 to combine character features with modern amenities. The large garden is the perfect place for that family game of football or hide and seek and with views over the glorious Suffolk countryside you can almost guarantee that some wildlife will wander through the garden during your stay. We have one of the oldest woodlands in England just a short walk away, perfect for that evening stroll.
The most amazing little cottage, we loved every second of our stay. The host Carol was such a delight and made sure we had everything we needed. Couldnât be happier and the whole family had a lovely relaxing time away. Thank you again, beautiful home and hosts!
Provides everything you would expect from this type of holiday. Great cottage (apart from the wifi speed, but that's a reflection of having a home in the city!). A very welcoming package - wine, chocolates, flowers and a superb lemon drizzle cake. Overall - very very good.
We 4 retirees who are touring English gardens thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property was neat and tidy, well stocked with fruit, milk, wine and a delicious homemade lemon drizzle cake. Bedding was crisp and clean and good assortment of games. Well done!
Faith Cottage is an outstanding property. Has it all. Fastidious thatched cottage set in beautiful gardens. Carol & Colin were friendly, helpful Hosts. Carol has the most exacting standards. Welcome Gifts for Guests so kind. Car parking in grounds and Washing machine greatly appreciated by us. Around visiting easily many nearby villages we actually rested up in the cottage and gardens too. Perfect. Suffolk an amazingly beautiful County.
From the moment we saw the thatched, yellow cottage it began to work its magic! I needed a change of scene for half term and my daughter quickly found the outside skittles and table tennis before I'd unloaded the car.
The kitchen was laid for tea, the woodburners (two!) lit and the beds, towels, linen, massive bath, wine, fruit, bread, cakes and sweets all awaiting! Tonnes of games and DVDs too. Wifi slower but 4G when needed.
But what worked best for us was the feeling, the energy of the old place, lovingly restored and cared for by Carol. I haven't slept as well in months.
The owners were lovely and the place is highly recommended. A gem in the country - with plenty of pubs and walks nearby.
From the moment we arrived we received the most warm and loving welcome that we have ever endured when staying somewhere new. Not only were these hosts kind and friendly they provided practical needs and necessities. They included cleaning supplies and entertainment as well as basic foods and spices. I recommend immensely to stay at this beautiful and cozy cottage and meet these amazing hosts.
