Breathtaking Ocean View Penthouse Playa Flamingo

This newly renovated Penthouse is located on the South Ridge of Flamingo. The Penthouse features spacious, open living areas with custom decor, woodwork, and stunning views throughout.

A Chef's kitchen has well-designed cabinetry, granite counter-tops, a breakfast bar with four leather bar stools, wine refrigerator, dishwasher, front load washer and dryer, and immaculate marble, granite, and hardwood throughout the Penthouse. It comes completely equipped with everything you'll need to prepare gourmet meals during your stay.

There are three bedrooms; the master suite offers a king size bed, walk in closet, and an opulent bathroom including a freestanding soaking tub overlooking the stunning ocean views. The Guest bedrooms offer en suite bathrooms and queen size beds. All of the bedrooms feature excellent mattresses, high-end bedding, armoire storage, and elegant decor.

The main living area features a sofa and love seat with full regulation size pool table and a window wall that folds completely open to allow the amazing breezes into the home throughout the day. All areas of the home offer split air conditioning units so that you can climate control each room to the guests desired temperature.

On the main terrace, you find an outdoor dining table that seats 8, and ceiling fans to help boost the tropical ambiance. The main terrace is perfect for morning coffee or afternoon cocktails, as you watch the sailboats pass by and the sunsets that are unparalleled at any other condos in the Gold Coast of Costa Rica! The master bedroom lanai has 2 chaise lounge chairs or enough room for yoga or meditation. Both the terrace and lanai have roll down shades to provide a cool atmosphere should the afternoon sun become too bright or hot for your afternoon cocktails.

The condominium complex is located on a beautiful hill just south of Flamingo Beach. Easy driving distance from the Penthouse includes fantastic restaurants, grocery stores, bakeries, banks, boutique shops, and much more. The community boasts 24 hour security, guest parking, two swimming pools, as well monkeys and other wildlife surrounding the area.

Flamingo is a vibrant little town where everything is at your fingertips. It features a beautiful, white sand beach, perfect for lounging, sunbathing, and swimming. Amazing view!

Our family of six (wife, myself, parents and two teenagers) stayed in the penthouse for 10 days. It feels more spacious than the pictures shown and the view is spectacular. Every morning family members would find themselves with a cup of coffee or juice on the lanai and every afternoon a beer or cocktail sitting outside and staring out at the waves. Pros: Near to restaurants, activities and beaches. Playa Flamingo Marina 10 minutes away with Surf Box restaurant and Planet Dolphin Catamaran trip. Playa Flamingo minutes away and Coco Loco restaurant. Playa Tamarindo 30min away for surfing. Our favorite restaurants were El Tiki (with chef Roy from all the previous reviews(!) and Gracia del Mar, both within 10 minutes drive. Daughters enjoyed the two pools in the complex. My father, daughters and I all played billliards some of the evenings. Appliances worked mostly as expected. Coffee pot, blender, beach towels. Elevator to the penthouse functional. Area felt safe.The cons (minor things that you might or might not care about): Water temperatures were lukewarm at max and all the faucets calcified so water streams poor. Dryer slow/multiple runs. Bought own toilet paper/paper tower after we couldn't find extra (manager Allen responsive, brought some next day). Drive up the hill to unit is steep, full of ruts, too far to walk anywhere. Wifi sporadic.Overall it was a great stay and our family would recommend this unit.
Unit is top floor, middle two lanai openings.

Amazing views

There was plenty of room for my family of 7, having a pool table was lots of fun. Morning coffee and sunsets on patio were just like pictures in listing. You need to have a higher clearance vehicle to travel on the road up to the place. Security was nice and property manager was very helpful. Place is less then 10 min drive to the beach and perfect place to stay.

Magical Vacation Location

Needs fixing as it is an amazing unit!

Amazing place! Unfortunately all the things that were broken were never fixed. For the amount of $ spent /night (for our 3 weeks) these things SHOULD have been fixed or addressed. Roy never responded to any of our texts in regards to our issues. We did notify Brandon and he respond and said he would get Roy to look onto the issues... never did. ISSUES: dishwasher broken broken lamp switch Living room TV didn't really work 2 of the 6 cues broken Dirty counters/dishes in the dishwasher Laundry still in machine Pantry full of maids stuff (dirty buckets, mops, clothes, towels, cleaners etc) we had to put our food on the dryer. Dressers/drawers had other guests old stuff in them. Eg. Prescription meds... which I was not happy about as that could have been very dangerous if a small child had got to them! Dirty kleenex, old hair brush, very smelly shoes,popcorn in a bag, etc. Tub lights broken,unable to use (which looked so pretty in the pics) Bedroom door handle broken Main shower handle broken No TV's in bedrooms except main (which our kids would have liked) No fridge functions Inc ice (springs hanging out of it and broken off) No parking space during our stay Smoke detector beeping (couldnt change batteries as we couldnt get it apart) Blinds in spare room broken (so people can see in) Hot water in kitchen didnt work. We finally tried the fuse as it was tripped. Yes some of these things were small, but again for the $ these things could have been fixed or cleaned up.

Can’t wait to go back

Our stay at Flamingo Towers exceeded our expectations. We had 8--each of our three 'grown' children brought a friend. None of us had been to Costa Rica and we were in awe of the beauty and kindness of every single person we encountered. The unit was perfect for our crew--just keep in mind that the extra futon/bed doesn't really work for two grown adults. Regardless, we were able to improvise. The views were amazing. Playa Flamingo beach and Playa Escondida beach were accessible via a good downhill walk and/or by car. The kitchen was fully equipped, and we cooked most nights with no problem. Pool table was a hit with our group as were the two pools on the property. Roy was responsive and gave great suggestions as far as excursions. Pura Vida!

Just a great property!

This was our first trip to Costa Rica. Staying at Playa Flamingo was a great choice. The views from this property are amazing. We had geckos and spider monkeys within eyesight during our stay here. The restaurants and other amenities are within just a few minutes drive, and there is a medical facility at the bottom of the hill for peace of mind in the event you need anything. Our family enjoyed the pool table immensely for some entertainment after our daily adventures nearby. Everything we did on this trip was within 2 hours drive of the property. Fishing (Tamarindo), snorkeling (Conchal), hiking, ATV tours, waterfalls and more! Waking up to the view of the bay outside the large windows is also something we’ll always remember. The on site pool was relaxing, clean and warm. Just a great overall stay at a great overall location, well furnished with everything you need to make your stay your home away from home. We always felt safe and there are property managers and/or people working on the property daily, so someone is always around to watch over the property (which consists of multiple units and buildings). Overall a great experience!

Great views, nice place

Great views, nice place, as granddaughter (14 months) could wander safely around the place ,all one level, we just kept the patio doors shut, second time to CR, so if a person has not been here before when it doesn't look like a road, it really is a road. You will have to drive from this place to where ever you want to go, not close to much....but that was expected and the group really enjoyed our time. txs much for the use of your place.

Magnificent condo with spectacular views! Elevator or stair access. Wide entry hall with pool table at opposite end. Den with futon (aka the fourth bedroom), half bath, kitchen and living room to the right of the entry hall. A wide hallway to the left leads to the master bedroom, with en-suite bathroom, and two queen bedrooms. Outside is a well appointed (dining table with seating for six, small table with bar stools, glider and two chaise lounge chairs) outdoor space that is accessible from the main living area and the master bedroom. Two pools, an extremely shallow terraced soaking pool and an approximately four foot deep pool, that overlooks Playa Escondida, Playa Brasilita and Playa Conchal, are wonderful places to relax and watch the glorious sunsets. Neither pool is appropriate for lap swimming, diving or pool play. The walk to the beach is downhill, approximately one mile, on a dirt road. ATV tours kick up the dust. A security guard monitors the premises. Roy, the property manager was warm and welcoming. We enjoyed the fresh, healthy ingredients and presentation at his outdoor restaurant, El Tico. We also enjoyed the local flavors and large plates at Big Mama’s outdoor establishment (on the way to Playa Conchal). Thank you Brandon, Roy and team for a terrific time!

I have been coming to Playa Flamingo for years, and this is unquestionably that most convenient place with the best view I have ever had. Exactly as described. Pictures are accurate. And the owner was super friendly, accommodating, and responsive! I'll be back!

Great Host, beautiful property, amazing views.

The property was extremely clean, and a beautiful view. The pool table was an extra nice bonus to have there and play. Close to most all the things you need, for a great vacation. We enjoyed our stay and Roy was very attentive to all our needs and handled them very quickly. Owner was very accommodating, with great communication and quick responses. Costa Rica was a very nice place with great folks and they were all so very friendly.

Amazing Views

When you first enter the condo, the view takes your breath away and you never get tired of enjoying the sunsets from the deck. The unit was clean, spacious, and very comfortable for our family of 5. It looked just like the photos. The kitchen was really well stocked and the pool table was a big bonus with my teenagers. The drive up to the condo is a dirt road and can be rough so make sure you get a car with 4 wheel drive. Condo is well located and easy to drive to everywhere. The only reason I did not give this property 5 stars is because the clothes washer was broken throughout the stay (thank you Roy for providing a laundry service) and the knob for the water temperature and clamp for the hand held shower head in the master bathroom kept falling off. Gorgeous property and I would recommend it, however, just needs a few things to be fixed.

excellent penthouse, the view is amazing, very luxurious. Beds comfortable, well equipped kitchen, we played pool every day. Internet good (2 of us are in business for self so keeping in touch was a must). you will need a car, walking to the beaches and restaurants is impossible, less than 3 min drive, but forget about walking. A little disappointed in check-in; we made arrangements for 3:30 - 4 pm, even after calling when we arrived (right on time) had to wait 1 1/2 hours in the hallway. 2 of the 4 beach chairs and the umbrella cannot be used, a cheap replacement to make the stay much more enjoyable never happened. Dishwasher was not working, it was never resolved, we tried to clean it ourselves, but were not succesful. Overall pretty good.

Amazing place!

We were pleasantly surprised that this place is actually better than the pictures show. The views are so incredible and it was very clean and had every supply we needed. Every interaction with the owner was pleasant and Roy is a gem! You must have him cook you dinner when you are there! It was sooo good and he is very personable. I would highly recommend this place to anyone for a relaxing time and so close to all the shops and restaurant. We also took a rainforest tour and a susnset catamaran cruise that were great!

Peaceful Paradise

It was so quiet and beautiful. I felt like it was the best spot to stay on the coast. The home was perfect and the master bedroom is huge. We loved the pool overlooking the ocean. We laid in it every night. I went scuba diving and we all roads the sea doos. The food was great everywhere we went. Room for improvement is on the second bedroom mattress. Our guests said they could feel the springs and that they weren’t able to sleep through the night. All-in-all, we had a very relaxing stay and would recommend this home to other travelers! Pura Vita!!

Increible

Estuvimos en el apartamento de Flamingo Towers, pasamos unos dĂ­as increĂ­bles. Todo estuvo espectacular. La vista desde la terraza del apartamento es impresionante. Tanto Brandon ( que no conocĂ­) , como Roy han tenido un trato excelente. VolverĂ­a en cualquier momento a pasar unos dĂ­as.
