Beautiful old manor house. Very friendly staff and a good breakfast with several options. We did have some issues with the shower flooding the floor and there was no available staff. But the girl working was the only staff member that day. But I would stay again. The road to the hotel was narrow. But not too bad a problem
Stay was okay, fairly quiet as up on a hill, bit of a quirky place. Room was fine, bathroom was rather cramped and doesn't leave much floor space in the room, but it's fine for an overnight stay.
Location to Canaervon is great, 10 minutes drive. Driveway tricky if the neighbours don't make the entrance tighter than it already is. No one on property on arrival, I had to call the 'receptionist' who talked me through getting my room key. At night you need a code to enter. Manor is cold so is the Annexe. No Tv in the room makes it feel like a hostel. Sounds petty but when you are in the middle of nowhere, a shared TV, shuffle board and fussball does not make up for it. Service levels are not what you expect and the level of English is good, not great. This place has some great features but overall it just makes you feel disappointed as it could be so much more.
The manager was unavailable. I couldnât get a receipt for my stay. I couldnât pay as agreed with Expedia. The toilet seat was broken; the shower door comes off its roller. No building heat was available until autumn and the room was cold;we had a portable heater given to answer our complaints The room was undersized. The price did not meet prevailing rates.
No one staying in hotel yet your site said there were limited rooms. Literally no one else in hotel. Sheets had stains on them. Bread was stale at breakfast. Cooked breakfast was all microwaved not freshly cooked. The hotel in general looked liked it needed refurbishment.
We had a lovely stay at Plas Y Bryn Manor. Itâs a beautiful old building with lots of character, once home to David Lloyd George, one of the UKâs former prime ministers. From the moment we arrived, our host gave us a really warm welcome and shared a bit about the history, which made it feel extra special.
The breakfast staff were all so friendly and polite. The complementary breakfast was a highlight â it felt really social sitting around a long antique table in the main reception hall. The location is perfect too: peaceful and quiet with stunning mountain views, and you can even see the water in the distance.
Thereâs plenty to do nearby as well. We came for the Menai Food Festival and the next day went cycling around Anglesey, which was brilliant.
All in all, itâs a great mix of history, comfort, and incredible scenery â a wonderful spot for a relaxing getaway.
Cooked breakfast was great with other cereal choices. Coffee was awful out of their machine. Old Manor House looked like it was in the middle of refurbishment which it definitely needed. Beds comfortable but only one bedside table, no fridge, no hanging space for clothes, no TV, no shelves in bathroom, no toilet roll holder, no shower grab rail, no bath mat. Creaky floorboards, dirty windows. Cups not cleaned. Extremely noisy religious families next door up until 10pm. Hazardous parking with edge drop. Hazardous driveway from main road. No evening meal option or bar. TV lounge had furniture long past their sell by date. Staff very friendly and obliging.
Room was very small no television or tea or coffee making facilities in room Single bed was very narrow One towel no bathroom floor mat . Very untidy around the hotel
Like room condition, very modern and new, bathroom looks even better! Definitely recommended, and if I go to Snowdon again I'll be looking to book again
I stayed in the main house and really enjoyed my time there.
Communication before my arrival was good and I was welcomed by Steve when I arrived at reception Friday afternoon, my room was clean, tidy with fresh towels and soap/shampoo etc. etc.
There was a group of people there who'd obviously booked to celebrate a birthday or anniversary, this place is ideal if you're looking to do something similar, loads of room, a barbeque, outside seating.
Breakfast I skipped on both days as I was having an early lunch, but the food looked delicious.
Forgive my spelling, 'Lowsee' at reception was very helpful, nice to see such happy staff.
The stay starteThe roomwas clean and warm the bathroom was nice and modern. But unfortunately the main light kept coming on and off so I decided to just use the wall lights. Breakfast was OK not to my liking but Iâm not a breakfast person
A hotel that felt a little deserted . No Tv or tea & coffee tray in the room which was very small. Few staff and rarely seen. This hotel does have potential.
Secluded and serene, this beautiful property was the perfect choice for our trip. Staff was helpful and friendly, breakfast was outstanding, and grounds are just gorgeous. I highly recommend!
It was very poor. There was no one to greet us, no reception area and the twin room was cobbled together by splitting a double bed. There was no TV, no kettle, the beds were awful, there was little or no toilet roll in the bathroom. The hanging rail was fitted so poorly that it was impossible to use the only plug in the room!
Amazingly there had been fortunes spent on decoration and furnishings throughout the hotel when concentrating on the basics was needed. The breakfast was very limited with a âdo you want it or notâ approach. All the cereals were supermarket saver brands as was the tea, coffee and juice.
Must do better!!!!!
