Inside, the open-plan living area is equipped with air conditioning and WiFi, providing a comfortable place to unwind after a day exploring Cairns and the northern beaches. The kitchen includes the essentials needed for easy holiday meals, while the nearby dining space creates a casual setting for breakfast before the beach or relaxed evenings indoors. Natural light filters through the domeâs unique shape, adding to the bright and breezy coastal feel throughout the stay.
The bedroom includes a queen bed dressed with professionally laundered hotel-quality linen for a restful nightâs sleep. Above the kitchen, a cosy loft space offers an additional double bed accessed by ladder-style stairs, creating a fun setup for children or adventurous guests. Please note the loft may not be suitable for guests with mobility concerns. The bathroom includes a walk-in shower, along with fresh bath towels, pool towels, and complimentary starter amenities for added convenience.
Please note that this property does not have 2 separate bedrooms. It has one bedroom, with the second bed being accessed by stairs to a loft bed above the kitchen.
Guest Access:
During your stay, you and your group will have the entire dome to yourselves, along with shared access to the pool. Please make yourselves at home!
A car is definitely the easiest and most convenient way to get around, but the bus station is nearby. Several guests have stayed using only public transportation and found it easy to get around, but a bit time-consuming. Getting to the city by bus takes about 45 minutes. Another option is arranging a pickup, which is available through several tour operators. There is an additional charge for pick-ups, but it is usually cheaper than car hire.
There are no city buses from the Airport. If you are not renting a car, I suggest getting a taxi. It will cost around $55 and take approximately 25 minutes. There are a few shuttle buses, but if you have 2 people, it is around the same cost as a taxi, and you may have to make several stops. A shuttle bus is only cheaper if you are 1 person travelling.

Amenities
We provide a generous amount of amenities as a "start up" for your stay. These include shampoo, conditioner, body soap, dishwasher & laundry sheets, toilet paper, tissues, salt/pepper, cooking oil, tea, coffee & sugar. If your stay is longer than a few days, you will need to top up to suit your needs.
Linen/Towels
Our linen is hotel quality and professionally cleaned. Each guest is provided 1 bath towel and 1 pool towel. Additionally, we have bath mats, hand towels, and face washers. Please be sure to register the correct number of guests to ensure our linen provision suits your needs.
Bag Storage
Bag storage before or after your stay is available at Stasher Luggage (next to The Jack Hotel), 52 Spence Str, Cairns.
Cleaning & Linen.
We provide professionally clean linen, bath and pool towels. We do not service this property daily.
We are managing iglu 5 and 6. Should you have a large group traveling we can accommodate up to 6 guests between the 2 units. It would be a great place for a few families to gather and have their own separate units, but be close enough to enjoy each other's company.
Cleaning:
1. We sanitise high-touch surfaces, down to the doorknob
2. We use cleaners and disinfectants approved by global health agencies, and we wear protective gear to help prevent cross-contamination
3. We refer to cleaning checklists to thoroughly clean each room
4. We provide extra cleaning supplies, so you can clean as you stay
5. We comply with local laws, including any additional safety or cleaning guidelines

Everything you need all in a peaceful location. We wanted to stay a bit out of town and make the most of the beach and this place was absolutely perfect. Just a short stroll to the beach each morning and only about 25 minutes drive into Cairns CBD. We will absolutely be back to stay again.
What a shame. We arrived and the property hadnât been cleaned. I rang the property manager who was very apologetic and confirmed the cleaner was sick and didnât bother to tell anyone. She organised for the property to be cleaned urgently and offered to reimburse us for a couple of drinks as we were nearby having a drink so we werenât in their way. We came back and when I went to bed I discovered they had only made one bed up, the main bed and the bed I was meant to sleep on was just a bare mattress. I messaged the host advising them of this. The response was âyou booked for two people so the cleaner just made one bed upâ. It was a trip for my Mum and I. I purposely booked a property with two queen beds. They came the next morning and made the second bed up for me but not after a night with no mattress protector, sheets or pillow cases. I didnât care about the original clean not happening as things happen and it was resolved quickly but not having a made up bed to sleep on was very disappointing and I certainly wasnât going to let my Mum sleep on it. I wasnât going to send the host our receipt for the drinks sheâd offered to reimburse but after that I did. Still no response or reimbursement.
