Relax and rejuvenate at this unique space. Ideal for couples, families, remote workers, writers, musicians, artists â anyone seeking tranquility and peace, and lots of privacy.
Nestled in the sunny hills of Calango, approximately 75 miles (120 km) from Lima International Airport (LIM), is this newly built 1,000 square foot (93 m2) private and fully equipped property + large private patio. The project is off-grid and sustainable using solar energy, Starlink satellite internet, local water, and a biodigester.
This property is located in a new eco-friendly community of country homes in Calango, Peru. Calango is known for its comfortable climate with bright sun all year long. The air is clean and clear in this area.
The property is situated at the rear of the community and has total privacy -- no noisy neighbors to deal with and no traffic passing by.
You are renting the first floor of the two-story home. There is a mini-apartment on the second floor that is not included in this rental (it has its own separate entrance). If you would like to also rent the mini-apartment for a larger group, please contact us. There is an additional charge for the mini-apartment. If you enjoy hiking or rock climbing, there is an abundance of opportunity for these activities right outside the house.
You will have exclusive access to the first floor of the home and the outdoor areas, which include the private swimming pool, private patio, and the hills surrounding the home.
We are available before and during your stay for any questions or concerns you have. We speak both English and Spanish. Please feel free to ask any questions you have. We would like your guest experience to be as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. We prefer to communicate via messaging as this is the easiest way for us to interact with you.
This property is located in a community of new homes. The community is still new and there are not many homes yet built. The surrounding area of Calango is very pleasant. The main town square is a short drive away. There you can find local wines and fruits for sale, and there are a few restaurants that specialize in Peruvian cuisine, especially shrimp dishes as shrimp is a specialty in the region. La Capilla is a tourist area of Calango further up the river valley that offers additional restaurants and natural beauty.
This location is out in the countryside and it is recommended that you arrive by car. There is plenty of parking at the property. Inside of the community, you can walk freely and safely, and there is ample space for exercise, walking, jogging, hiking, etc. If you need assistance with transportation (e.g. from Lima Airport) please contact us and we will try to help you.
Please note that this particular community is still new and developing, so there are not many other homes currently built. On the one hand, this creates a nice and very private atmosphere. On the other hand, if you are looking to meet new people and mingle with neighbors, this may not be a good fit for you.
Be advised that this property uses Starlink satellite internet and this is the only signal available for this property. The WiFi signal is strong and consistent 24/7, and the speed has been tested as noted in the listing. There are Starlink extenders installed throughout the property so that the signal reaches all rooms and also the patio area. You should not have any problems connecting to internet during your stay, working remotely, etc.
Finally, the list of amenities shown on the listing is what we are able to offer at this point. As time goes by and we add new amenities at the property, we will update the list. Any questions, please ask.
Note: If you pay us directly with a credit or debit card, we will ask you to send a photo of the front and back of the card, and we will ask you to sign a credit card authorization form. The name on the reservation must match the name on the credit card and the name on the ID.
Your ID must be valid and current. If your ID is expired, you will not be approved to stay at our property and there will be no refund related to this.
Before you arrive you will be asked to complete guest verification through third-party provider Truvi. This is done to ensure we are keeping up-to-date with short-term rental regulations as well as providing both our guests and our properties with extra protection. Truvi will contact you via email and/or text to complete the verification. You will receive the email and/or text about 60 minutes after you confirm your booking. Please complete the verification prior to arriving at the property to enable a quick and easy check-in process. You will be given the choice between a refundable security deposit (non-refundable administrative fee for this option is $10) or a non-refundable damage waiver (the cost is $17.50 and is not refundable). This process is required. It is not optional. You will not be given the arrival details unless your status is `approved` from Truvi. You will need a valid credit card or debit card in order to complete this process. We are fully disclosing this here so that a guest cannot claim after booking that this was not disclosed.
Pets are not permitted at this property.
Guests are responsible for bagging all garbage and placing the bags in the trash bin outside the building, or as instructed by the host (host will communicate with guest regarding this).
Also, guests must leave the apartment in the condition they found it (e.g. no leftover food, nothing that creates a need for excessive or deep cleaning). Please wash all dishes that you use, remove food that you`ve brought in, and discard all trash. Our cleaning fee covers basic cleaning tasks like washing of linens and towels, vacuuming, etc. The cleaning fee does not cover deep cleaning, excessive kitchen and bathroom cleaning, etc. Thanks for your cooperation!
If you check out late, there will be a $100 per hour fee for each hour or fraction of an hour that you stay beyond the check out time. If you want to stay late, please book the next night or pay for a late check out.
If you smoke, use incense, use drugs of any kind (including marijuana and cannabis) anywhere on the property including outside areas and common areas, we will charge a $300 fee. If there are damages related to smoking or drug use, we will charge fees in addition to this $300. This is a non-smoking and drug-free property.
