Hilltop Cabin with Sunset Views at The Farm on a Hill

Escape to our rustic hilltop cabin overlooking the East Yegua Creek valley. This cozy studio is perfect for 2-3 guests seeking a quiet country getaway. Enjoy breathtaking sunsets, a firepit, stargazing, a king bed, and access to our 30-acre farm with friendly animals. A unique retreat with modern comforts like WiFi and A/C, offering the ultimate in relaxation and seclusion. We also have a larger cottage option available on the same property for up to 4 guests if you'd like to check it out too - search for "hilltop cottage."

You will have private access to the entire cabin for the duration of your stay. Your exclusive space includes:

* The entire 450 sq ft studio cabin.

* Living & Sleeping Area: Features a comfortable king-sized bed and a reclining sofa, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring.

* Kitchenette: Equipped with an electric range and oven, a refrigerator, and a microwave.

* Bathroom: A separate private bathroom includes a shower, toilet, and sink.

* Amenities: For your comfort, the cabin includes air conditioning and heating, a television with a Roku device, and free WiFi.

* Farm Animals: This is country life. You can expect to see and hear our friendly animals, including chickens, ducks, cats, and seasonal cows.

* Outdoor Space: An outdoor area with a propane BBQ grill, a fire pit with lounge chairs, and a covered porch with table and seating for 2.

* Location: We are about 15 minutes outside of Caldwell, Texas, 45 minutes west of Bryan-College Station and Kyle Field, less than one hour north of Round Top and 90 minutes from Austin and Waco.

Additionally, you are welcome to explore our 30-acre property. The Farm has numerous activities, including playing basketball and pickleball on a sports court, playground, meeting our animals (chickens, ducks, cats and seasonal cows), hiking, searching for arrowheads, star gazing, wildlife viewing, garden exploration, fishing, and watching sunsets. We are happy to give you a garden tour or introduce you to our friendly farm animals upon request. The surrounding area also has places to visit, with many enjoyable activities. More information is provided in our electronic house manual available after booking.

For your safety and security, exterior security cameras are located on the property in common areas.

We live on the property and are available if you need anything, but we prioritize your privacy. We are happy to give you a tour of our garden or introduce you to our friendly farm animals (chickens, ducks, cats and seasonal cows) upon request. Otherwise, we'll let you enjoy your peaceful retreat undisturbed.

Detailed check-in instructions, including keyless entry codes and directions to the Farm, will be provided three days prior to arrival.

The property is beautiful! It’s a bit of a bumpy ride to get there, but the views are amazing! We only stayed one night and were in and out quite a bit and had no issues. It was quiet, the cabin was impeccable, and had everything we could possibly need! You can tell it is well maintained and cared for.

County Cottage

My wife and I like to stay out away from Bryan/College Station when attending TAMU football games to avoid the traffic and crowds. The Cottage is in a nice location in the country. Great views f4om the front porch. Super clean and a really comfortable bed. Also, the owners are a pleasure to deal with. We will be back next season.

Just right for me and my 7 year old grandson. Very clean, stocked with everything we did or would have needed. Very close to the main house but the property was very quiet. Certainly out in the country but overall excellent property.

It was a great stay, the cabin was really nice and cozy. Didn’t have a fire in the firepit (Temps) but sitting in the chairs and enjoying the area, moon and stars with wine and my lovely bride 👍

Peace and quiet!

Best part about this place is the view and peace that comes from being in the country. The cabin was immaculate, the bed was comfortable, and the owner provided excellent directions both to the cabin and for check out procedures (very minimal and easy to manage)!

The Farm

The property is exactly as advertised and even better. Pond is much better than picture. Little close to owners house but you will not be disappointed! No roadsign for 362 but finding it is worth the effort. It is 3.7 miles from from Hwy 696 with last .7 being road to farm. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Quiet retreat on a beautiful property

Our stay was lovely! The cabin is beautiful and charming! The bathroom does get a bit humid during showers because there's no fan, but we opened the window and that helped. It was great to have local coffee available in the morning. I wish we could have stayed longer to check out all the activities. Overall a great property in a quiet and remote area, definitely recommend!

I wasn’t sure about the drive especially at night but it was worth driving in that darkness
 because once I got near there was beautiful Christmas lighting on the property. I was there for work but felt like I was at a get away. I had option to not be disturbed w no Wi-Fi on or connect to Wi-Fi to get access to calls/work. It was so beautiful. I loved it and will be back. The scenery plant and animal life are just gorgeous and a true blessing. The only thing I didn’t like was there was a tres that I think was cut or fell down possibly cedar full of stuff on it and I am very allergic
 so next time I go I’m taking Benadryl with me.

My stay at the Farm on the hill

If you are looking for a quite place you will find it here. I would like to live in a place like that. I could watch the deer. Birds and cows. Wish they had a hummingbird feeder then they would stay around longer. Never met the host. But they are lucky having a property like that. He was right about using google maps took me to the right place. Seems like I drove longer getting there, then coming home. Must have missed a turn someplace. Phone dropped maps 3 times so had to reset again. If I had any negative thing it would be my text went unanswered but overall nice little trip.
