Cozy pet-friendly casa ready for family fun near MTU and Mt. Bohemia!
Imagine time spent on a Lake Superior beach looking for agates and splashing in the waves. Take a fall leaves tour to Brockway Mtn. or ride extreme bike trails in Copper Harbor. Ski 5 minutes from the house at Swedetown Trails or go for the powder and drop off @ Mount Bohemia. Walk to restraurants and bars or 1 block to hospital and community churches in historic Calumet and Laurium. This VRBO is just about 15 min. from Michigan Technological University.
Nice location in quiet area. Even with big snowfall we were able to park 2 vehicles off street. Well kept amenities (very nice having a clothes dryer after skiing) and comfortable layout in the main area. Mary is responsive and a great host.
Was a great stay. House was well equipped and had everything we needed. Lots of little niceties like having a new sponge for us for the dishes, to a Valentineâs Day treat. The host was very thoughtful and friendly and we look forward to making future visits.
The house was perfect and Mary was a great host. She made sure we were okay and well taken care of even in the middle of a blizzard! The house was very clean and had beautiful fresh roses on the table to welcome us. The location was close to the snowmobile trail for us as well. We look forward to returning again next winter.
The house is well appointed and the hosts attention to detail was seen from the flowers and welcome note to the beach chairs she provided so we could star gaze!
This is my favorite place to stay while visiting my MTU student. Mary is always available with any questions. The house is immaculately clean. Highly recommend
This house was exactly what we needed! The host was more than accommodating and check-in/out was very easy! The location of the house was perfect and my kids loved all the kid-friendly things in the home! Will definitely plan on staying here again!
Pros:This rental has a great location, and we appreciated that it was pet friendly. We also enjoyed that there were baby items available which made traveling with a young toddler a bit easier. Overall the home was clean and orderly.Cons:We were never sent a lock box code and ended up having to call the host after messages went unanswered. The host didnât answer, but called back confused thinking we were coming the next day. Our booking information confirmed we were there on the correct day. We arrived and waited for the host to let us in the rental. When she arrived the rental was clean, but she did have some laundry to deal with and a couple housekeeping tasks to attend to. Shortly after she left we noticed and thankfully photographed some damage on floor as she texted the day after we checked out accusing us of the damage. Overall we had a nice trip, but were left with a sour taste as we try to be respectful guests.
This place was great for our stay this past August. It was very close to the rock shows, Copper Harbor, Houghton areas that we wanted to visit while we were here. Its very homey, had everything we needed. Was perfect for our family of 3 adults and 1 -9 year old granddaughter. We had plenty of room and the house comes with plenty amenities. The owner was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again when traveling through the Kewenaw area. It was exactly what I was looking for: a clean home, a place that allowed our small dog, 2 bathrooms, air conditioned, tv, wi-fi and close to Lake Superior for rock hounding. Check in was a breeze too. Thank you for letting us rent your home.
I was really impressed with Maryâs VRBO! Super clean, organized check-in, great communication! I would stay her again. Quiet neighborhood and close to Houghton, Michigan Tech, and the Kewanaw. Thank you Mary!
Mary was wonderful to deal with. She is very responsive and helpful. The house was spotless and cozy. A very comfortable stay with plenty of room. Great closets and storage space. Wonderfully decorated with a nice deck in the back. Great location with nice neighbors. We were able to access Calumet and Laurium stores and restaurants by walking. Will definitely stay again.
We loved staying at Maryâs house in Calumet! It was the perfect place for me, my wife, our two twenty-something adult children, and dog. The house was clean, spacious, and located within walking distance to downtown Calumet. Calumet is a great town with many unique shops, and it is a National Parks Historic site with incredible buildings to tour. In addition, it is perfectly located to do everything on the Keweenaw Peninsula (and there is far more to do than you can fit into a week). Mary was a great communicator and all aspects of the stay were smooth.
