Nice 'historic' hotel on the outskirts of the centre of Canberra; walking distance into town but the rental escooters are handy too. Easy walking distance to the War Memorial and Mt Ainslie trails.

The family rooms (loft) are a great option especially the pet friendly rooms if you can secure them. The property shows it age but it adds to the history of the place when it was known as Olin’s hotel. Easily accessible from the highway and airport etc and walking distance to civic. I would’ve appreciated being notified about prebooking the parking as the daily rate is $28/day instead of $15/day if rebooked. There are two EV charging bays (Exploren) in the secured parking lot but non-EV drivers tend to use it. It could be managed better by staff as they have the car owner details but they are not always able to get hold of the drivers to move the vehicle. I raised this concern on checkout but it’s clear it’s not a priority for them which is disappointing.
