O.M.goodness what a bad experience...No communication from the host.

The property was booked 5 weeks prior to the stay. and for 5 nights.. No emails, no phone calls were returned by The HOST leading up to our stay..still nothing returned by the time we arrived at the property..Stayz had tried contacting host endless times as well as us. on the days prior and on the arrival date..We were stranded. So we did not stay there. An extremely stressful situation, all due to the HOST that did not respond and communicate.

Check in details only given 1 hr prior, would have preferred sooner seeing we had flown in. Pin code was wrong to collect keys. Had to contact 24hr helpline as host wouldnt respond. A giant hassle when you have to kids, its cold and dinner time. Was then given no check out details at all, after i had asked several times. Save yourself the hassle.

The owner didn’t send address and check in details. Had to take the family to a hotel which we also paid for. VRBO have verbally said we will be refunded from this terrible experience as they could not contact the owner either

Left out in the cold

We were a group of 2 couples staying for 2 nights. 4hrs before check in I still had not heard from the host after sending multiple messages. I called the host who stated they live 15mins from the property and would meet us there to hand over the keys. We agreed I would msg when we were 30mins from arrival and I had also advised the host that we were aiming to arrive around 4:30pm. I messaged as expected however upon arrival could not locate the host I called again and she asked if I was 30mins away I told her no we were there and message was sent 30mins ago she advised to wait and she would there. After 45mins and more attempts to contact the host we had to contact Stayz to help us as we had just driven 3hrs we were hungry, tired and all needed the bathroom we were left in the freezing cold. The host finally turned up 1.5hrs after we had arrived. We advised the host of our frustrations however there was an extreme lack of care. As we went into the apartment we were faced with an unpleasant smell. There was faeces left on the toilet bowl. Hair found in the bathroom sink, fridge and freezer, cooktop was stained/marked and couch had what appeared scratch marks on it. I had advised 2 couples were staying and did see the rooms advertised as a king and a queen however it was a queen and a single only to realise we had make the single into a king and make the bed ourselves. No instructions for check out. Only good thing was the location Host is terrible

Was ok, but could be better

Booking for 4 adults, we hoped the second bed would be made up but we had to move and re-build the sofa bed as it was poorly constructed with screws missing, used personal hygiene products were found under the bed. Linen supplied for the bed was not clean, when trying to use the washing machine, the hot water line had been disconnected and was filling the cupboard with water. There was a decomposing piece of fish still in the fridge and crumbs on all kitchen surfaces. Overall the house was tidy, but I don't think it had been cleaned between guests. The location was amazing for what we wanted and having undercover parking allocated, while difficult to navigate at first, was also a key to choosing this stay. We would stay here again, with a little more attention to detail.
