Casa Saasil: A Peaceful Oceanview Villa for Soulful Escapes & Island Adventures.

Casa Saasil is a two level Mediterranean style house with two ensuite bedrooms with king beds upstairs w full ocean views, and a queen size bedroom with an additional full guest bathroom downstairs. A private salt water pool w a shaded pergola is centrally located on the property with much of the original native trees and natural landscaping intact. This was central to the house design. A perfect launching pad for all your adventures with local coffee shops, tacos and beautiful island clifts all within walking distance.

This house did not disappoint! It is everything the description says and more. I dont think you can put into words how great this property is. Isla Oasis

Casa Saasil was everything and more than we expected for our 7th trip to Isla. Everyone went above and beyond. Right from the airport we had easy transport to ferry and a taxi waiting for us to get us to paradise. Thank you Monica for the easy check-in & great recommendations for dining & entertainment. We thoroughly enjoyed them. Jose Antonio is spot on for maintaining the gardens and the peaceful calm of the property. And always willing to help when needed. The extra cleaning service in the middle of the trip was a big bonus with fresh towels & crisp sheets after a long day at the beach. Thanks to April for your recommendations on the island as well and for opening up your home for us to enjoy. Casa Saasil - House of Light - is truly a place to enjoy all of Isla Mujeres from your own private paradise!

Great retreat on Isla Mujeres

We just returned from a five night stay at Casa Saasil (December 20-25, 2024). The house is lovely and well maintained. Although we were travelling as a family, this is an ideal property for couples or friends, as each of the thee bedrooms has a king bed and its own bathroom with shower. If you are looking to be in the middle of all the hustle and bustle, stay on the other side of the island. But if you want a quiet retreat a short 20 minute gold cart ride or 10 minute taxi ride from the North Beach and tourist area (as we wanted), this is a great place to be. There are also a few good restaurants not far from the house, but more options near the north beach.The pool was clean and heated, providing a great place to chill. The hosts and their agent were easy to communicate with and were very responsive to ensuring everything was right. Overall a great property and an ideal place to stay on Isla Mujeres.

There is nothing more to say about our stay other than it was paradise on earth. From the moment we saw the gates for the first time, we knew this place was special beyond any place we have ever stayed at. This was our third time to the island and I can honestly say, I don’t know how anything can top Casa Saansil. The house manager was so helpful and easy to get in touch with: helping us with booking a golf cart getting our groceries, and giving us her recommendations of activities and places to eat. The grounds are so well maintained but still feel lush and natural. The pool area was the perfect place to relax after wandering around and exploring all day. Thank you for the best memories & perfect Isla experience.

Great Property

Just like other reviews stated, the pictures don’t do this place justice. It is a very well-maintained private, fenced in property. This was a perfect place for my husband, two teenage boys, and I. The place was clean, and there was plenty of room throughout for the 4 of us. Would recommend!!

Beautiful retreat and oasis in the perfect location.

We absolutely fell in love with the property! The grounds and style of the home were like nothing we had ever seen. The location was perfect. It was peaceful, and nestled in the most luscious landscape and not a detail was missed when you walk around the grounds. We took so many beautiful pictures in and around the home. We didn’t want to leave and will return again! Amazing property.

Stunning property

our group of 4 had a fun time at Casa Saasil. everything on the island is accessible with a golf cart, the pool and outdoor areas on the property are a big plus, and the hosts are extremely helpful.

Very nice stay

This is a great house in a great location, exactly as shown in the listing. All the people involved are extremely nice and very helpful including the owners, and especially the property manager Maria who was very accommodating and was very fast to answer our questions throughout our stay. The handyman, gardener, the host who showed us the property when we arrived, were all very friendly and helpful and did everything they could to ensure we had a fabulous stay in the fabulous property.

Perfection!

We had a fantastic time at Casa Saasil. The pictures and listing had us very excited and it was even better than imagined upon arrival. Our communication with the homeowners and Monica, the property manager, was great and better than any other stay that we have had. The house and property is so well decorated, the daily conversations with Juan Antonio were great and just everything about this place screams, RELAX. Our kids loved the pool, we loved waking up to views of the ocean, the rooftop views, on and on we could go. I'm not sure how anyone could say anything negative about this place and our experience was off the charts. Thank you again!!!

Short Spring Sabbatical

We found the property to be exactly as advertised; "a tranquil retreat for mind, body, and spirit". But Casa Saasil also vastly exceeded our expectations, with not enough superlatives to adequately describe it. Pictures only hint at the overall beauty we encountered. Immaculate, elegantly simple, architecturally exquisite, gardens replete with flowers and native vegetation. After a day's adventures, all of us welcomed the serenity we felt just passing through the gates when we returned - quite a feat with two active young teenage girls. Monica (our contact person) and Jose (groundskeeper) were so incredibly kind and helpful. Our stay at Casa Saasil was a wonderful experience. We look forward to returning.

Absolutely lovely

The description and photos of this home are exact, but cannot describe the feel of the home
. Just magically peaceful. We had a few hiccups and minor inconveniences
 but none of it effected our stay, Monica and April were extremely helpful and easily accessible when needed. The gardens and landscaping are beautiful- we had the pleasure of seeing the gardener several times
 such a lovely man. We did rent a golf cart for the week, and felt it was a must. We had several flight delays which meant our initial arrangements to arrive at the home were no longer possible. We took a taxi from the ferry (2 taxis) - 300 pesos each. After a night downtown we took a taxi home- 150 pesos. The house manager arranged for a taxi to take us back to the ferry - 200 pesos.. a good reminder for us to always ask before getting in! Our only suggestions would be to have more bath towels available - and possibly towels to take to the beach. As well access to extra bed pillows! Even with those minor suggestions and our few inconveniences- we will most certainly return! Thank you for sharing your home.

Perfect Holiday Vacation

We had an absolutely amazing time in Isla Mujeres! This was largely due to our incredible home away from home at Casa Saasil. The house was beautifully appointed, well maintained, and so comfortable. The grounds were stunning - from the well-maintained and lush landscaping to the enchanting pool (and daily visits by the resident iguana). The property manager was a delight- super helpful and communicative. We were so fortunate to enjoy this little slice of heaven.

Relaxing getaway

We enjoyed our 10 day stay at the property. We arrived late in the evening and checked ourselves in, which was not a problem, as the communication with Monica made it easy. The property is located in a quiet area at the south end of the island. Traffic on the road out front becomes close to nil in the late evening. We had no problem catching cabs right out front of the property and no issues with drivers finding Saasil. Everyone we encountered knew the neighboring property, Casa de Jaguar. The Joint is a short walk down the back lane and had great food, drinks and music. The heated pool was great to hangout in at all times of the day. We could hear the crashing waves of the ocean across the street which was nice. The groundskeeper was on-site throughout the week keeping the property neat and tidy who we hardly noticed. Cleaners came every 3-4 days to tidy up inside. The only suggestions we would have to the owners would be to have a broom and dustpan available, a microwave and some chairs on the rooftop so people can sit and enjoy the views. Thank you for sharing your property, we would recommend it.
