Enjoy the variety and entertainment of the city then escape to your home away from home while enjoying the beauty and serenity of the mountains.

Just 5 minutes to I-40, 15 minutes to downtown Asheville, 10 minutes to Haywood Rd/ West Asheville and 20 minutes to hiking & the Blue Ridge Parkway. Conveniently located for the Biltmore House, outdoor adventures, the Asheville Outlets, restaurants, breweries, and all that WNC has to offer.

Spread out in this spacious basement apartment with separate bedroom and living space. Private entrance with your own heat & air conditioning controls. Cook your meals in the well equipped full kitchen with a full sized fridge, oven, stove, microwave, coffee maker, cookware, dining table and more. Relax in the living room with smart TV and wifi, or in the king sized bed in the bedroom. Enjoy the outdoors with access to our yard and fire pit.

The king bed in the bedroom has a memory foam topper and the queen pull out couch is also memory foam and includes linens.

If you wish to use the fire pit, let us know and we will have wood and starter available, as well as outdoor chairs and roasting skewers.

The apartment features prints from a local photographer.

This family friendly space also includes a pack and play with changing table for the little ones, as well as a few toys.

Washer and dryer are available in a shared space between the apartment and our living space. Please request access to washer/dryer at least 8 hours in advance so we can unlock the space.

The brick path to the apartment slopes gently and the private entrance is accessible by ramp or stairs. The apartment is all on one level. We have outdoor lights, solar lights along the path and motion activated lights at your private entrance.

Our dog Lily lives on the property and is contained with an invisible fence. She loves being outside and greeting our guests.

Our neighborhood is a private one-lane paved road. The speed limit is 15mph and you may have to pull into a neighbors driveway to allow other cars to pass.

Free parking in our driveway. Parking is on the far left hand side, in front of the trash and recycling bins.

Awesome place! Exactly what we needed :)

We loved this place! Very kind people own the upper part of the house and the vrbo felt very secluded which was so nice :) a big bonus for us was that their dogs were outside some times and were always down for some petting. They were so sweet. Great location as well. Everything inside the unit worked perfectly and was pristinely clean! Would recommended 10/10

Great Place To Stay!

Exactly what we needed

This side guest space was only 12 minutes away from where we needed to be and about 30 minutes from a nice easy waterfall! Plus they had a pup that greeted us and I love animals! The bed was a king which is exactly what I needed, a bit on the softer side, for those who need to know. But I was very happy with the accommodations and would stay again. :) Thank you very much!

Cozy and Spacious Basement Apartment

Very nice and well kept basement apartment. The bed is ginormous and very comfy and the kitchen was nice as well. There's a window in the livingroom area that let's in a good amount of light and the place is very easy to find. It was also only 5 minutes from a food lion and close to everything we had planned for our trip!

Perfect for mountain biking trip

I stayed here for 3 nights with two friends for a mountain biking trip. The place was perfect for us to come back and have somewhere to clean up and rest. It is located in a nice neighborhood where I was not concerned with anyone stealing our bikes. The private entrance had a small covered area that was perfect for putting the bikes at night. Local to lots of good places to eat and drink beer (I recommend wicked weed funkatorium and white duck tacos). Less than an hour drive to Kolo bike park, the riveter, and Ride Kanuga bike park, about an hour and a half to Ride Rock Creek bike park. The owners allowed us to use their fire pit and set out of chairs for us. They also have a very nice dog who came and sat around the fire with us. I would definitely stay here again should I come back to the area. If you come for biking be sure to stop by Motion Makers cycles and Sycamore cycles, both very cool shops with a great selection of bikes and gear and a very friendly staff (I ended up purchasing a new bike from Sycamore Hendersonville while on this trip)

Review of week long stay

Nice place for a weekend stay. For a longer stay, the kitchen has limited utensils and cookware but appliances are all nice. Ramp to entry door is a bit steep for older folks. Place is clean (bathtub is a bit old); but minimal cleaning materials (a large broom would be nice) for longer stays. Communication with host was very good; quick response to problem at check in.

It is a hidden gem

This is a nice, out of the way place to visit Asheville from. You are actually staying in a neighborhood in Candler, but downtown Asheville is just a short 15 minute drive.

Good for short or longer stay

Close to Asheville. Could drive anywhere fairly quickly. Looked as advertised. Well-appointed; including dishes, silver, glassware as well as cooking utensils and pots and pans, New coffee maker and toaster as well. Extra touches, eg. phone charging stations on both bedside tables. Quiet and nice. Loved it and the hosts were personable and Lily is a love!

Great stay

Had a wonderful time at a great rental. Rental is just as advertised and pictured. Check in was easy and place is supplied with everything you could need. Even left us snacks and waters in the fridge. Place was clean and comfortable. There is plenty to do nearby such as visiting Asheville and the Biltmore estate and hiking. Very nice quiet neighborhood and our hosts were great. Would definitely recommend staying here and we hope to stay again some day if we visit Asheville.

Great Apartment

We had a comfortable two night stay. Slept great because of the quiet area and dark bedroom, which is excellent for someone on a night shift. The kitchen has a full size fridge, microwave and stove. We forgot to bring coffee and there was some there for us to use. Bottled water was in the fridge, too. Clean towels, linens, bathroom—everything was spotless. We also met one of the owners and he was very friendly. It is a safe neighborhood with good parking and pretty mountains.

Accurate description of rental

This was a last minute, one night stay & was fine for that purpose. Appreciated the sloping walk down to apartment. Very quiet because it is a basement location. Nice king bed. Note that there is only one small, high basement window for natural light plus half glass in the door. There were sufficient light fixtures. Being very sensitive to scented products made it not ideal for us, particularly coming from the sheets.

Awesome stay

Heather did a great job meeting all of our needs. She even shoveled a path through 12 inches of snow to ensure we could reach her house. The unit has one of the most comfortable beds we have stayed in.

Cozy Vacation Getaway

We had a lovely stay! The space was newly remodeled, very clean, and some nice touches like tea and coffee. The bed was comfy (we actually have the same bed frame at home, once you go King you can’t go back!) and we had a great time relaxing between our jaunts around Asheville. We hope to stay here again!
