GORGEOUS views from every room and from the 32 foot patio/deck. Follow the path to another patio under the trees and enjoy peaceful setting and wildlife viewing. Living area has rock fireplace and built-in bookcase. Large kitchen is open to living area. Dine at the breakfast bar or the charming dining/sitting room. Lake and river access close by.

We had an amazing stay and the location was perfect. Not too remote, but just secluded enough. Close to many attractions, trails, and fun restaurants in the hill country. The patio was where we spent most of our time and loved it. Left feeling recharged and refreshed. However, the view isn’t as visible as the photos as there are some trees blocking the view. Not a big deal but just a heads up! We loved the deer that visited and fed them lots of deer corn. The place had most of what you needed and the host is super responsive. There was a grease stain on my pillow case
 it definitely seemed washed but I suggest it should be replaced. We also saw a couple of sugar ants on the counter. Very minor details for a perfect little cottage in the hills.

Great communication with the host. The house is in a beautiful location. We spent most of our time on the porch and in the hammocks. The house was comfortable clean and cozy. Loved that we were able to bring our dogs. We would stay again!

The place was wonderful. You felt secluded yet you were actually in the middle of everything. Close to good restaurants, especially Elio‘s Italian restaurant. Or if you want to go further and do the caverns and Guadalupe State Park or just hang close and do the Comal nature tour and the Gorge. Dogs loved it and the outdoor fire pit and indoor fireplace were definite plus when it was cold. Deer everywhere

The house absolutely exceeded our expectations. It was the perfect stay for a perfect weekend. Centrally located to everything you'd want to do in the Hill Country, and so warm and welcoming. Wish we had more time to enjoy all the house had to offer, but we will certainly be back!

We absolutely loved staying here. Check in/out was super easy, the house was super clean and cozy, and the balcony has the most beautiful view. I loved how tucked away the property was and we enjoyed watching the deer/birds come and visit us. I highly recommend this property!!

My hubs and I, along with our dog, really enjoyed this quiet place. It felt pretty secluded, and was decorated really cozy. And it was so clean! We cooked just a little and the kitchen had quite a few items to help out. We didn't do much outside of walks and visit the lake, as this home provided us space and place to relax and chill. There was a binder put together containing attractions and things to do should one want to journey out and about. I would enjoy staying here again!

Overall it was an amazing stay, however there were just a few things that really stood out as needing improvement.-Driveway: i know thats out of your control, but a warning about the narrowness of the driveway itself and possibility of scraping the bottom of low cars on the listing would be appreciated-Privacy: the side green door would benefit from a curtain since it gives a direct line of sight into the kitchen, which can be unnerving at night-Security: the latch of the side green door is not secure at all. Me knocking on the door was enough to knock the latch inside loose, leaving the only lock being the latch outside. I would reccomend switching the large latch outside to the inside or some other mechanism

Beautiful, peaceful and unique property! We loved our stay. It was very relaxing. Deer, hummingbirds, and even little kittens were on the property. The only negative thing would be the driveway had pretty sharp corners and was hard to get in/out in an F250. But still was possible. We loved our stay and would stay again.

Hill top house

We absolutely enjoyed our visit. The house is very well stocked with everything that you would need, and then some. There is food for the deer and birds. There is plenty of wild life that visits the property. We had seven bucks pass through a couple of times. There were three doe and a spike that would hang out for long periods. Got to see a fox and some roadrunners come through.

A little slice of heaven

I'm in love with this property. The house is so cute and has so much character. It was exceptionally clean. The host has provided anything you could need, or forgot to pack! The view is breathtaking, and the back yard is a litlle slice of heaven. Very serene and relaxing. The nearby restaurants have amazing food.
