You get what you pay for. The Road Lodge Cape Town is a very okay place. The price was right but for that reasonable price you get a tiny and somewhat loud room. The staff were not all that knowledgeable or helpful in terms of getting around Cape Town. Location so close to airport is a big plus. Communication with the property prior to staying there was poor

This place is good because of it's close location to the airport, but I don't recommend it! It was very noisy and we were unable to get more than a few hours of sleep. We could hear people walking past our doors all hours of the night and luggage being moved also. It was incredibly loud and noisy.

Very average

Older hotel that needs to be updated. Rooms are very small for 2 people with luggage. Bed is comfy (and small for 2). Shower has good pressure and lots of hot water (but very small). Staff are very helpful and friendly. No refrigerator in room but lots of ice available at the reception/breakfast area. Did not eat here so can’t comment. Within walking distance of the airport (via a subway shortcut). Shuttle is an extra charge (read the fine print).

I never actually stayed at the hotel. I booked a nights stay but accidentally booked for today's date and not the actual date I wanted in the future. I then couldn't amend the booking as it had passed the check in time. I tried calling the hotel but they said they couldn't help me, Expedia tried to help but was told by the hotel there they don't give redunds. I know it's my mistake but common sense should prevail. I paid money for something I never received.
