Charmingly rehabbed bungalow in the heart of Capitola Village! Just steps to a fairytale river walk & minutes from the delightful village restaurants, boutique shops & beach! In addition to the queen bed & double sofa bed on the main level there is a comfy king bed in the nook atop the ladder. Relax on the private patio decks with seating & electric BBQ. This quaint village bungalow was completely remodeled to offer you all the charm w/modern influences!
The Space:
A true Capitola Beach cottage-walk down the charming patio and step into this fully remodeled cottage. An open floorplan welcomes you into the living space with the dining table on your left and sitting area on your right. In the tastefully decorated living space you will find a leather fold out couch and chair, large tv and coffee table. Just beyond the dining table is the kitchen-fully stocked for you to enjoy meals of your choice. The kitchen is equipped with a gas stove top and oven, microwave, full size refrigerator, coffee pot and toaster. There is also an electric grill on the back patio with access through the kitchen. One full bathroom offers a step-in shower. Just beyond the living area is the bedroom, separated by a large barn door. The bedroom has a queen bed. Tucked up above the bedroom by way of a ladder there is a king size loft bed. This darling cottage offers beach vibes throughout, with thoughtful use of the space you can comfortably enjoy it with up to 5 guests. Capitola Village is one of the best destinations Santa Cruz has to offer! Perfect for long stays with easy access to all the wonders of Capitola and Santa Cruz.
Two Units Available, Unit A is also available for rent in this duplex and can be rented out for more space for the family- Ask for details!
Guest Access:
We will provide you with check in instructions 48 hours before arrival. There will be a keypad on the front door for easy check in and guests can arrive at their convenience. We also provide a welcome binder with additional details about the property and the neighborhood.
The Neighborhood:
This lovely beach getaway is located right across from the river walk and only a short walk to the river's mouth leading you to the beach and village where you will find private shops, restaurants, cafes, ice cream shop, wine bars and so much more! Head up the beach and you will enjoy some of the surfer's go-to spots where you can take in the sunset with a stroll on the path above or slip off your shoes and walk along the wet sands below. Just a few blocks inland you will find the renowned Gayle's Bakery, the local's favorite-join them for their signature locally-roasted coffee or grab a sweet treat or homemade deli favorite from their elaborate display cases. It is truly the perfect location for central access to all!
Getting Around:
We are in walking distance to the village, the wharf and both beaches. All parts of Capitola and the surrounding beaches are accessible by bike-bring them with you or secure a rental and enjoy sightseeing on two wheels.
PARKING: Parking can be difficult in Capitola Village! There is first come-first serve public street parking along Bluegum and also a public parking lot across the street on Capitola Avenue. The Village is only one block away so it is recommended to walk from this property. The river walk adjacent to the property is a lovely walk and leads down under the bridge to the village entrance just a block away and the beach. If you prefer to drive, from 8am to 8pm there are reasonably priced public parking spots available around the Village. For more information about local parking options, please refer to the city guide on the City of Capitola's website under the parking page!
Other Things to Note:
Parking can be difficult in Capitola Village! There is only ONE shared private parking space for Units A&B, so parking is not guaranteed. There is public street parking on Bluegum and also a public parking lot across the street on Capitola Avenue.
There are no daily housekeeping services. The property is cleaned before arrival and after departure. We provide hand soap, dish soap, dish towels, hand towels, bath towels, wash cloths, paper towels and toilet paper. 3-in-1 shower wash is provided.
NOTE: Please be aware that due to cooler climate experienced from ocean breezes, properties in Santa Cruz County, especially near the coast, typically do not have air conditioning.
