Two Bedroom Pool Home- Captiva Baywatch
**This property has a âValue Propertyâ designation**
Baywatch Cottage - Right on the Bay. A favorite to many, the old Florida-style but updated cottage is truly a home away from home with its many comforts and furnishings. The En suite master with a king bed, guest bedroom with two twins, and a sleeper sofa in the living room is great for short or long-term visits for up to 6 people, along with a washer and dryer, large closet areas, and a full kitchen. Its private lanai deck faces the Bay, and a private screened pool is right off the dining area.
Take advantage of the Bay View accessible home by using the two shared docks with electricity and water for fishing or boating. Relax around the fire pit in the landscaped area. Unwind on your deck, lanai or the Bay docks, where native birds fly freely, and the fish just jump out of the water. Turn right out of the driveway to Captiva Village to try some of the main restaurants or shops on Andy Rosse Lane, or turn left onto Captiva Drive to go to Blind Pass for fabulous shelling.
Baywatch Cottage does not have deeded beach access.
Rent Baywatch Cottage or one or all of the other Baywatch homes on the 3-acre estate. All homes are pet-friendly with an additional fee.
Please note there are now only two couches in the living room.

The cottage was definitely old and had terrible A/C problems during our entire stay. Temperature got up to 82 during the day and didn't cool down to around 70 till about 4am every morning. Very uncomfortable to try to sleep in. We couldn't use the livingroom area either due to all the big windows/doors that had excessive heat coming thru them. There are curtains but that only blocked some sunlight. The masterbedroom had no ceiling fan so we had 3 boxed fans at the foot of the bed to try to cool down. There is also a fireplace in there that has alot of heat coming into the room. We paid way too much to stay here for 5 nights and be so uncomfortable! Couldn't enjoy the cottage or any of the views since every blind & curtain had to stay closed. We won't ever stay here again.
Very spacious cottage. It is kind of dated and the kitchen supplies could be updated (cookware). We did eat out most nights but we did cook breakfast daily. Skillets were worn out
There were little flies in the tub shower but the overall cleanliness of the cottage was fairly good. We very much appreciated the beach chairs and mats. The private pool was great too. We took advantage of the dock access when we went fishing with friends.
Great location, not far from anything.
We loved our stay in Captiva Baywatch Cottage, our 2nd stay at this property. Enjoyed the pool, kayaks and docks. Will definitely return in the future, we try to visit Captiva regularly!
This property has a terrific location and is very quiet. The dock is great to have as well. The cottage is older but was very clean. Is was priced appropriately.
While the hurricane damage was much more severe on sanibel, Captiva has managed to recover well. The cottage was clean, convenient to the beaches, grocery and dining at the Tween Waters resort, had all the amenities we wanted (pool especially), everything worked, and we enjoyed ourselves immensely. No-see-Ums were terrible so bring bug spray. Bed was comfortable. Make sure to check with the property manager on food items like coffee, salt / pepper, etc. as we needed to grab those up after arrival. All good! Managers were very responsive and had good information. Noise was zero back in the little enclave. Weâll see you this winter!
The place was a little run down. The shower did not work in one bathroom. Could not adjust temperature. There were portable air conditions in the bedrooms that were so loud it was impossible to sleep with them on. The place did seem a little on the dirty side and at one point catapillars dropped from a ceiling vent into the bathroom sink. It was a great location. Itâs a shame that it isnât better taken care.
The property was in substandard condition. Musty odor inside, infested with centipedes and roaches. Frequent sewer smell outside. Pool had crabs in it every day as well as dead centipedes. Walls and woodwork and floors were filthy. TV in master did not work. Exposed wires on exterior outlets interior condition - fair minus. Not worth the money. Couldnât sleep good due to bugs. No property rules, other property tenants took over the dock and parked in the back of the property so we were staring at vehicles instead of the foliage. Wish we had the money and the two weeks back. Kingfisher weâre very nice property managers, unfortunately the owner has not maintained property. Dying palm tree dropped coconuts randomly and frequently making it dangerous to go in rear of the property. We have pictures of all these issues/ problems. Trust us, the reality is much different than the property pictures online. Advice, stay elsewhere or stay home. My wife and daughter wanted to leave the third day. My wife was in tears at one point. Not a pleasant experience.
Baywatch Cottage and premises were as alluring as the photos on VRBO. Simplistic paradise right off the dining room (bug free) was the best part!! This location was convenient to everything especially Turner and Blind pass beach which we visited frequently! We will be revisiting the cottage for sure!
