It was fine. Nice large room and nice towels, toiletries and good charging points by the bed. The reasons for the power score are the noise from the disco thudding through even to the third floor. At least they moved me to the sixth floor when I expressed concern. Breakfast is ok but the first morning the eggs were dried and bacon leathery. Much better on day two. Staff were all very pleasant.

Attentive staff breakfast time. All smartly dressed and obviously took pride in providing a good service. Lovely room. Choice of pillows. Unfortunately- some slight urine smell when entering toilet- and unfortunately as it rained heavily during the night there was obvioysly a problem with guttering? outside our window- could hear loud water dripping and landing on sill and as a light sleeper- kept one of usxawake for hours.

The room was spacious and comfortable, the hotel was clean and tidy, decent location, staff polite and helpful, breakfast was good. Only minor quibble would be that check-in was late in the day (3pm), no early check-in available. But this is the way all hotels have gone across the board, its just got later and later generally, so you end up to checking-in after what you are doing for the day, not ideal. I remember a time when this was a more reasonable 12 noon standard.

Terrible. Arrived at 3pm and room wasn’t ready. Told it would be 20mins so had a drink at bar and waited 30mins. Went back to reception - still not ready and was actually told ‘we’re only human’!!! And their T&cs mean that rooms don’t have to be ready for 3pm. Then one of our party gets locked in toilet and hotel has to call emergency locksmith. We were down for a special event - some of which was missed. The whole evening was ruined. When we returned we were hungry as we had missed dinner. Reception said that room service was available. Called and called but no-one answered. Avoid this hotel!
