This is a nice looking hotel. We stayed here on Sunday prior to a 5 day trip and our room smelled of sewer, but we didn’t notice until unpacked, so we put up with it. Upon returning from our trip we stayed here again and asked for a room that didn’t have the sewer smell and the front desk said that there was a sewage treatment plant near the hotel and they couldn’t do anything about the sewer smell. Also on this stay the elevator was not working and wasn’t 5 days earlier … still not working. Our room was on the third floor so we had to carry our luggage up two sets of stairs, which is very difficult for a 75 year old couple. The staff was friendly and the facilities nice except for the non working elevator. I would think twice about staying in this hotel.

Room 120 was musty and moldy. Found mold in one of the drawers. They moved us to 126. Was there a week with my daughter so she could attend a summer ballet intensive. Room 126 was just as bad. My eyes, nose and sinuses were burning from the must and mold.

We needed a pet friendly hotel in the Mechanicsburg area. I had never stayed in a pet friendly hotel before. I wasn’t prepared for the overwhelming smell of dog! Our bathroom sink was clogged and no effort was made to unclog it during our stay. The bedcovers were dirty and smelled like dog. The mattress was awful and I kept sinking into the left side. The breakfast was sub-par. The hallway carpet was dirty and smelled. I can say that the folks at the front desk were very kind and helpful and the lobby and dining areas have a nice enough impression. If you’re a dog person, I’m sure this place would be great. We have cats, but we needed a place to stay.

The front desk was friendly and helpful which I appreciated. The room itself was dirty. There were tons of dead bugs on the window shade inside the room and also some dead bugs or bug poop on top of the comforter when we came back from dinner. This means while we were out getting dinner a bug, mouse, roach etc

The employees were all so acclimatizing. The room was very clean and comfortable. The outside of the hotel was very nice and there was plenty of parking. The ceiling was dripping over the shower. The hall way carpeting was very old and worn. The wall paper was coming off in the hallway.

Good stay

Very friendly staff, good location. I wish the elevator shaft worked as we were on the 3rd floor, however, the hotel did offer a different room, but I preferred to stay on the top floor so there is less noise. They had very good eggs and grapefruit for breakfast, wish there was more of a variety of food like maybe croissants or muffins. Other than that, a very nice comfortable stay.

Good place for a stay in Carlilse

Very few drawbacks other than the pool was closed for renovations and the elevator did not work. However, they did notify us and we were able to get first floor accomodations as my sister would not have been able to negotiate the stairs. Only other drawback is the carpeting. Hard to keep carpets clean in high traffic accomodations. Not a big fan of carpeting. Otherwise everything was ver clean and comfortable.
