I checked in and an hour later i had to leave first they gave me a room with a broken A/C so they gave me another room i was only there 30 minutes when a had to leave the room was full of bugs the worse experience ever

I have stayed at Studio 6 for a week in June in 2023 & 2024 & now for 2 weeks in 2025 . The first experience was positive. There was functioning kitchen, eating, living area, comfortable beds & swimming pool. In 2024 my first room was on the first floor, smelled musty & had water bugs in shower/tub & kitchen counter & the carpet was filthy. My grandson was sitting on the floor to play a game & his bare knees shins looked like he slid on mud. I requested to change rooms & moved to a room that the air conditioning was not working & than moved again to a room with air conditioning & cleaner carpets. The pool was not open or functioning. June 2025. In April I reserved a room for 2 weeks for June 8-22. The first room was had musty smell, the microwave was missing the turn table, kitchen counter large sticky area, no coffee maker, no toaster, couch had large rip with 8-12 inches of foam exposed, toilet did not flush well, tub was stained yellow & had several rough areas . Asked for another room. Room 2 … kitchen & bathroom appeared clean but big 3 cornered 12 inch flap/ rip in screen in window on 3rd floor. Musky carpet smell . Room 3 … musky funky smell carpet again but kitchen & bathroom seemed functional, … but toilet running , Bathroom sliding door off roller & difficult to move, fire alarm in kitchen drawer, shower not functioning. Room 4 …smelly funky damp carpet with large stains, toilet overflowed, offered plunger to me to”fix it” & return it .No offer to clean up

First off that was the only time I would stay at this property.. got to room and one tv working no control smells bad the beds were maid with dirty blankets and only one AC working one room was hot and the other cold the rug felt wet all through room had no shampoo or conditioner in room . The whole placed needs a up grade .. sorry one good thing guy worked at night did a great job trying to make our stay better thank you to him ..

The room was filthy, and there were literal roaches at night. The air conditioning also didn’t work so the room was a constant 75 and humid. No new towels or toiletries were provided and old towels from a previous stay were left in the room when we arrived. Overall the building was in a good location but was disgusting.

The place stunk like cat urine and the rooms were infested with roaches. The couch was shredded, worn, and stained to the point we wouldn’t even sit or put our things on it. The curtains had holes and tears. I would never go there again

In pictures it seems and ok place. Outside looks good. As soon as you walk in it’s dark and old and looks like the haunted hotel. Dirty carpets and just dirty. Rooms were ok but had a fly, mosquito and spiders. Couch was so nasty, ripped and plain dirty. Oh and to top it off a damn cockroach. Fml

I wouldn't come back again.
We found couple of roaches crawling in the room, you could tell they don't keep rooms very clean, just a quick go over. The carpets smelled like humidity. Wouldn't bring my family here, again.

There were bugs in the room we rented. I mentioned this to front staff during our stay and was told they didn‘t have any other rooms right now but they would notify the manager and he would give me a call. I never received a call during my stay. I mentioned this again when I checked out and was told that they would notify the manager and he would give me a call in the morning. I never received a call. I stayed at this hotel three times now and did not have any issues prior to this stay. I’m very disappointed that I never even received one phone call.

The room smelled like smoke, there was rust and mold in the shower, none of the lights worked other than the bathroom light. The sink clogged on the first use. The garbage disposal didnt work. The beds had no blankets. When asked for blankets, the attendant only offered more sheets. When we told him about all of these issues he offered a 10% discount. Such poor customer service.

After we checked in we found th bed to be a ild saggy matress, full of roaches the phone was not hooked up si we had to use our cellular phone to ca the front desk and the view from the room was the noisy freeway and what looked like a junk yad behind the motel nasty palce

The staff was very kind and helpful but Motel 6/Studio 6 Carlsbad is not maintaining the property. Beds and pillows were uncomfortable, very old and lumpy. AC/Heater, some lights, phone, clock and TV didn't work. Pool hasn't worked for over 1 year. Kitchenette had no frying pan or spatula, also lacked the correct amount of dishes, cups, silverware and basic cooking supplies. The bathroom sink backed up and flooded the room, the water leaked to first level. All of the furniture was severely damaged and dirty, dead cockroaches and live ones were present. The sheets and duvet were thread barren and had holes. They ran out of blankets so we slept using our beach towels from home because we were cold. The following had to be requested and weren't in the room: paper towels, dish soap, sponge, Kleenex, shampoo and conditioner. Picture missing from room only the screws were left. Toilets don't flush well. They didn't sell snacks, water bottles or soda. Other guests stopped me in the hall, elevator, and parking lot to ask me how our room was and then shared the horrors of their rooms. Women talk!!!!!!!!!!!! The manager refunded $48 back to Expedia for us for the inconvenience and moved us to another room that wasn't flooded but it was as run down as the first room. LOCATION WAS PERFECT FOR LEGOLAND!!! But will never go to this hotel again. What a lost opportunity for the company.....diamond in the rough.

When we first got there we had a room with a weird smell and we had to switch. The blankets were very thin. The floor was sticky and felt very dirty. Our friend's room bathroom door could not close. No shampoo, no hair dryer. the couch felt dirty. I couldn't really rest in the place. Worst place we've ever stayed at. Would not recommend.
