The property is in a great location with stunning lake views that truly elevate the experience. While being right on the highway makes it convenient, it does come with a bit of traffic noise. The scenery, however, was quite beautiful.Upon arrival, we noticed that the kitchen still had garbage left behind by the previous guests, and overall, the space felt âclean-ish.â Considering the 654 cleaning and host fee, we had expected a higher standard of cleanliness. That said, the property manager was incredibly responsiveârepairing broken cabinets within 24 hours of our arrival, which we appreciated.A downside during our stay was the presence of mice in the kitchen. Traps were provided promptly on the second day, but unfortunately, we did continue to see signs of them, which made using the kitchen a bit uncomfortable. All in all, the location and views were lovely, and the hostâs responsiveness did not go unnoticed. With a few improvements in cleanliness and pest control, this property has the potential to be a top-tier stay.
The property location was nice. It was easy to get in. We had a little issue with the rats at the property. My husband saw two mouse in the kitchen. They also got into our open food bags. Then we put clothes in the dryer but it was not throwing heat so my husband looked to see if it was plugged right in the back of the dryer and we also saw rat/mouse droppings. There was also food left in the oven from the previous visitors and it was smelly. We took pictures of it as well.
The only thing that could have made it more perfect, is a hot tub. Perfect kitchen with a view, games and ample bathroom/showers for washing up after enjoying the lake.
We enjoyed our stay. The house is very nice, and the location is great. Beautiful view of the lake. It was a bit warm, so we would recommend bringing fans if you want to stay cool at night. Otherwise, it was awesome! Would highly recommend.
Our stay at the house was terrific. Murat is a fantastic host. Great communication, check in, responsiveness during our stay, post checkout followup. Top notch!
We chose this house for the location, as we like the north Tahoe area. We also chose it for the bedroom setup. There were four of us, my husband and myself, and our two adult daughters. Finding a rental home with a king bed can be a challenge. This house has a king in the master upstairs (which is actually the main living floor). The master also has an ensuite bathroom. The lower floor (which is ground level, not a basement) has three bedrooms, a king, a queen, and a bunk room that would sleep seven (I think, one of the bunkbeds has a queen lower - you'd want to confirm that). The king bedroom on this level has an ensuite bath, the other two share a bathroom. The washer and dryer are on this level too.
The main living level upstairs includes the kitchen, large dining table, and living room with very comfortable chairs and couch. There's also a foos ball table and an additional bathroom. We cooked breakfast and dinner and went out from lunch. Had everything we needed. The entire house has been nicely renovated.
Activities: we did the clear kayaks through Wild Society, such nice staff. Start kayaking as early as you can. We went at 10:30am for three hours; the lake definitely gets choppier as the day goes on. Last summer, we kayaked on Tahoe and started at 9:00am. Much flatter water. Also walked the Rubicon trail along the Truckee River. In the past, we've gone rafting on the Truckee, that's lots of fun and relaxing. We ate lunch at Fiddleshanks, which has a nice setting on a golf course and great jalapeño margaritas. Also ate at the River Ranch which is where Truckee River rafting ends. Fun to see the rafters. Got ice cream at Mourelatos Cable Car Ice Cream Parlor in Tahoe Vista. Best Rocky Road ever!
Thank you to Murat for a great stay! You are the best!
