The Debonair is a two-bedroom lodge retreat positioned at the meeting point of three of the north's most celebrated destinations â the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales, and Morecambe Bay. Five minutes from the M6, it's straightforward to reach from Manchester, Leeds, or further south, and well-placed as a base for people who want to explore rather than stay in one place.
Inside, the living area centres on plush pillow-back sofas and an electric stove-effect fire set within a traditional country-style mantelpiece â the kind of room that makes it easy to lose an evening. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave, and full oven with hob. A farmhouse-style dining table seats the group comfortably. Patio doors open directly onto private decking with outdoor furniture â good for morning coffee or an evening drink whatever the season.
The master bedroom has a king-size bed and private en-suite. The second bedroom has two single beds with good storage â works well for children or two guests travelling together. Central heating and double glazing throughout keep things warm when the northern weather does what it does.
The lodge sits within South Lakeland Leisure Village, a secure, gated park with landscaped grounds. On site you'll find the Pure Leisure Club â 15-metre heated indoor pool, steam room, and gym â available at an additional fee payable at park reception. The Pure Essence Spa offers treatments and therapies with pre-booking recommended. Waters Edge Restaurant and Bar does lakeside dining with a Mediterranean menu and outdoor terrace. There's also a private fishing lake on site.
Dogs are welcome with an additional charge. We ask that they're kept off the furniture and not left unattended.
Check-in is fully self-guided via a lockbox with a code sent before arrival. Checkout is at 10am. Late checkout may be available on request subject to availability. We're available by message throughout your stay for anything you need.
