Caronia, a quiet village in the province of Messina on the northern coast of Sicily, lies between the Tyrrhenian Sea and the hills of the Nebrodi Mountains, in a region rich in unspoilt landscapes, history and local culture. The area is known for the Nebrodi Park, one of the largest protected natural areas on the island ideal for hiking, trekking, picnicking and wildlife watching. Just a few kilometres away you will find beautiful natural beaches and hidden coves. The charming coastal towns of Cefalu and Capo d'Orlando are easily accessible by car, from where excursions to the Aeolian Islands can be easily organised. Excursions to Tindari or the city of Messina are also worthwhile.
