After days of driving and staying in motels Corynnia Station was lovely and relaxing. Afternoon tea and breakfast lovely. Walking around the garden, talking to host and others around the fire was a bonus.
We would like to go back for an extended stay.
A wonderful experience. The homestead and gardens are stunning and the cottage accommodation was unique, delightful and comfortable. People working there are extremely friendly and helpful and sharing a glass of wine around the campfire with other guests was a very pleasant experience.
Amazing outback experience. With comfortable cottage, Beautiful country sunsets followed by delicious dinner hamper, then campfire to stay warm while taking in the stsr filled night sky. A wonderful family getaway with great hosts - Mac and Mick.
We booked through Last Minute, we were not told that there was no internet, no TV. We tried calling them earlier in the day and left 2 messages but no-one got back to us. We arrived at 6pm, there was no tea making facilities in the room. This was very disappointing.
Excellent hospitality and beautiful setting; we thoroughly enjoyed our visit with our 7 month old daughter. This was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Australia. This location is a great off the beaten path place to relax and enjoy. We recommend Bruceâs tour of the cotton and sheep operation. We will do our best to hurry back.
Warm country hospitality, very stylish, an absolute oasis. Very welcoming hosts, even allowing us to see the shearing in full operation. An experience we will never forget. Great wines available which we enjoyed while watching the sunset over the Outback.
We only booked one night with our (almost) two year old daughter and two dogs. I made an error with booking and Julie was so accommodating.
The pink palace room was lovely - really nicely decorated and had a lovely relaxed feel. Julie and Bruce were so helpful and could not have been better hosts.
The grounds were beautifully kept and really felt very tranquil. Truly an oasis amoungst red dirt.
We wish we had stayed longer and next time we will!
Really misleading information about location. The google location is wrong - this could be changed but hasn't. It is basically 2 hours away from the centre of Hay.
i got into Hay (the centre) at 8pm only to find out that the hotel i had booked was 70k away, i was somehow convinced to do the trip anyway after the owners told me they wouldn't give me a refund. Got half way through then realised the second half of the trip was on a dirt track in pitch blackness, and there were 5 gates to go through before i could get to the property. By that time I had been driving for 4 hours straight. I dropped into a roadside hotel, the manager saw i was distraught and let me stay in a basic room. He was really lovely in making the offer, but at 2am i got badly harrassed by a drunken man who kept trying to get into my room despite my protests. Couldn't get through to the Manager on the phone so i ended up calling the cops (nearest are 2 hours away). They got me out of my room, at 4am. I then drove an hour to the nearest petrol station at sat there till morning in the freezing cold. It was a horrible experience, all of which could have been avoided if there was sufficient information alerting me to the fact that the property is quite a long way out of the centre of Hay with an accurate map and amended google location. I had a horrific experience and I still feel shaken.
A true 5 star luxury in the outback. Gracious and welcoming hosts who went above and beyond to make our stay as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. Excellent food from local produce, prepared fresh daily and with a homely touch. Highly recommended. Definitely will be back.
A great opportunity to experience the feel of a genuine outback station.
Lovely sprawling "oasis" garden, comfortable accomodation (we were in The Barracks Cottage), splendid hosts.
Nicely situated halfway Adelaide-Sydney
Full marks to Julie for her hospitality and friendliness. I recommend this experience to anyone who's never seen a working outback station. Beauty, vastness, isolation and presentation is second to none
This proved to be a superb choice for a break of our journey between Canberra and Adelaide with the opportunity to learn something about life on an outback station running sheep and growing wheat and cotton from the friendly hosts. They have upgraded some outbuildings to provide unusual but very comfortable accommodation. The homestead and the guest accommodation is set in a green oasis surrounded by the working farm. On arrival we enjoyed the greetings from various friendly animals including kelpies and a pet kangaroo followed a fresh scone afternoon tea.
