Hotel is decent, it was the first time staying as i usually stay in Estelar. In comparison the hotel is dated and needs some upgrades. The pool has tiles falling off from the side. Staff is friendly but lack in customer service. Pool side orders can take up to 30 minutes or more no matter the amount of people at the pool. At one point i had to order my coffee twice because they kept forgetting. After finishing it, i asked for the check and they never brought it. I got up to hand my coffee tray and told them i couldn't wait anymore. They let me walk right out without concern. I ordered room service for a bottle of wine & 2 glasses. They brought me 2 glasses 1 filled with wine. the beach was currently under construction so you have to walk to the neighboring beaches which are pretty dangerous. They have local vendors who hound you relentlessly from beginning to end. They start massaging you wether you decline or not and force you to pay. I took my son with me who is 14 years old and they told me if i didn't have cash that they can take my son for compensation. This was my third time in Cartagena, and will likely be my last until they start to regulate vendors.

The property was in a nice turist area of town. The staff was excellent, no matter who-at the door, front desk cleaning services Restaurant waiters, it was pretty modern. We did have a king size bed and it was not Hotel Quality. It was 7/10 compared to other five star hotels and the room itself was a very nice ocean view. The beach right in front was being fixed so it wasn’t available to us in February 2026 you had to go 2 blocks to get to the beach so I decided not to go. The reason I had picked this hotel is that it was beachfront and I wanted to walk out of my door and go across to the beach, not two blocks down and drag my stuff so I stayed on the sixth floor pool, which was lovely it got sun between like 12 and 2and then again between 3-4, and that made it very swimmable for me in February. There were days where it was windy, but that has nothing to do with the hotel. We ate at the pool restaurant a couple of times for lunch. We had the included breakfast, which was a ample and varied buffet they do seem like they get very overwhelmed in the morning because everybody seems to be eating breakfast maybe most people get it but again they were working so fast.There was someone there a server named Jesus that worked in the wait staff in the morning and he was the sweetest young man just so happy and helpful. My husband sent in the comment from the card we were given. We at paella in the restaurant one evening, the shrimp was overcooked,& the octopus undercooked. Overall 8/10
