Lovely building and atmosphere. The dinner was disappointing and I couldn’t get room service nor was there a phone in the room to try and order same - so the food situation was disappointing. Lovely staff and handy location.

Restaurant and bar on site. Really unique place! It's quite loud though, especially in the middle of the night for some reason? Not sure if there's work going on in the area, but we were woken up between midnight and 3am each night due to loud banging outside the window. Otherwise, it was a beautiful place.

This is a great place to be. Nice walks along the river and nice grounds. The staff was great and Josephine was charming. All good. We stayed here because we were flying out from Shannon the next day. The half hour drive to Shannon was easy (in the morning). We chose well.

The lodge appeared outdated and is in need of renovation. During my stay, I experienced very low water pressure, and warm water was not consistently available. Although check-in was scheduled for 3:00 PM, I arrived in Ireland at 9:00 AM and inquired about the possibility of an early check-in. I was informed that no rooms were available, and unfortunately, no alternatives or accommodations were offered. As a result, I spent several hours navigating an unfamiliar country while waiting. After spending a few days on the property, I observed that several lodges appeared to be unoccupied, which left me confused as to why no early check-in options were provided. Given these experiences, I do not plan to stay at this location again and would not feel comfortable recommending it to others.

Character hotel

A lovely spot in a hotel full of nice character. Staff were terrifically friendly. Good parking. The room was small but the bathroom made up for it, as it was large and modern, very nice indeed. It was quite warm and so with only a small gap of open window we didn’t sleep well as there was no way to cool the room down. But overall we really enjoyed our stay.

Lovely

Lovely location. Has an air of Fawlty Towers about it from the outside. The experience is far from it and the welcome and team were wonderfully welcoming. Room was a little traditional in a slightly tired way but otherwise comfortable. I shall stay again and would recommend it.
