Everything was top notch, except there was evidence of a mouse on the oven and countertop around the toaster. We had a loaf of bread sitting there and it got into that. Then one evening we saw it running around in the kitchen. But it is an older house so we couldn’t complain! We loved our stay there

Perfect Beach Getaway!

Our stay here was absolutely incredible! We came with our immediate family and couples to celebrate my in-laws' anniversary, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The location is unbeatable—just steps from the beach and fantastic restaurants! The charming little town is a hidden gem, offering a more relaxed atmosphere compared to busier beachside spots. We loved the mom-and-pop shops that added to the town’s unique charm.From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. Though we had a minor issue with hot water upon check-in, the property management company was beyond amazing—quickly responsive and had it resolved within 24 hours! Plus, when we realized we had the wrong check-out time, they were so accommodating, giving us an extra hour, which we truly appreciated. It completely made up for the minor hiccup, and we left already dreaming about our next visit. We can’t wait to return to this slice of paradise!

Location good and ok

The location was great to walk to Cayoucos but kind of a dangerous walk, but close. The trailer park is right next door so know that. The house itself was beautiful and accommodating. So we loved the house and loved the location but not the trailer park. It was quiet so no issues there just would have enjoyed the view better but it is what it is. Be warned there is no generator if the electricity is out (and it was) and no compensation for the night it was out. We moved to a hotel that night. Overall, we loved the stay and would rent it again.

Lovely home for a larger group. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Would definitely stay there again. Two things that could use improvement. The water heater is set too high
water is scalding. Also the stairs to the lower level are very steep.

If you want a lobster bake, this is the kitchen for you

Had a wonderful time again in Cayucos. We have been traveling here for 27 years and have rented multiple homes around town. This was, by far, one of the best. We were worried about the location and the view but none of that was an issue. Best view of the pier and beach, easy walk to town and wonderful house to rent. Plenty of space to hang out in, very clean, wonderful kitchen to cook in and great downstairs room to have fun in. The only negative we could find, no spices to cook with. We have rented multiple homes and everyone had a cupboard full of spices to cook with. This was the first house we had nothing. We found salt and pepper that was almost empty. For such a well stocked kitchen with pots, pans, HUGE pots, utensils, plates, cups, extra cooking appliances to make you feel at home, and great appliances, the lack of spices was disappointing. But such a small disappointment in the entire grand scheme of a wonderful house and amazing views. Thank you for allowing us to rent your home

Perfect family retreat

Our favorite home away from home

This is our second time staying here, (our first was 13 years ago), and we loved our stay both times. This house has everything you need for a perfect vacation, fully stocked kitchen, plenty of towels and linens, bbq, pool table for the kids, and unbeatable views of the town. This is the best house to rent if you are looking for an unforgettable place to stay in Cayucos.

Great beach house, beautiful view

It was great. Beautiful house with a well stocked kitchen, comfortable rooms, nice hot shower, beautiful views of the ocean. The only thing was I asked if there was a pack n play and they said no but there really was one. I packed mine on the flight for nothing. But overall great place!

Great family place!

The location is perfect and the view was amazing! It was stocked with everything you could need! Very nice stroll to town for coffee and breakfast was a nice plus! Nice little playground near the pier for the little ones to have fun! Great trip and hope to return again.

Good location

Our family likes to get together for the holidays, and this place could accommodate all of eight of us and feel comfortable with enough bathrooms and bedrooms. The ocean view was great, and the walk to the beach is only minutes away. I had excellent and regular communication with the property manager. The only thing I'd note are that the master bedroom bathroom's window will not close and in the winter time, this made the bedroom/bathroom very cold. Thankfully, we had an electric heater brought over. The rest of the house was fine. The kitchen is stocked with a lot of cooking appliances, and there are games/puzzles which came in handy for the rainy days. Also, it's only a few blocks to walk to the main pier, good, central restaurants, and coffee shops.

Pros: Great location. The view is stunning. Lots of parking. Plenty of room for family. Nice large deck. Cons: Shower curtain liner was dirty. After I washed it, it was better but still stained. Why not just purchase a 5 dollar plastic liner and change it between guests. Trash can in Kitchen was the same one from our stay 3 years ago. Very dirty and stinky. I had to move it to the deck. Need a new trash can. Ceiling fan blades dusty. This was a guest complaint from October. Master Bathroom window in the shower was open and the crank did not work so window would not close. There was a VRBO host there at check in who was re-vacuuming after housekeepers left. I felt this was a nice touch. The floors could be cleaner. My granddaughter was bare footed in the house and within a couple hours after check in her feet were very dirty. Overall the Cons are small fixes. I would stay there again.

2021 Beach house

The house was perfect for our group. Very comfortable. However, it was not "sanitized". The ceiling fans were covered with a thick layer of dust as was the intake for the AC and heater. The hall bathroom floor was filthy as were the rugs. If the floor in the kitchen and dining room were mopped it wasn't apparent. There were many spiders too. We cleaned, sanitized and sprayed bug spray. It was dissapointing because the rental is not cheap. We expected more.
