Amazing place, it was our second stay and we loved it. The owners are amazing (they live near by) and they welcomed us with a home made cake. It s perfect place for wheelchair as the pool is accessible as well as the entire villa. We recommend it warmly
We had the best time ever. The appartment is perfect for someone with a wheelchair and the pool is also accessible !! We had a wonderful time there and we are hoping to come back. The owners are adorable and always ready to help.
The hotel is close to Chania (20min drive).
I would definitely recommend to rent a car (a small one because the roads can be narrowed)
Aufenthalt :
3 Wochen im September 19 mit 2 Personen
Anlage:
absolut rollstuhlgerecht.
I am a 68-year-old incomplete L4-5 SCI female paraplegic of 22 years. I have traveled throughout the US and less extensively in Europe and Africa post injury. Aksos Suites is the most comfortable place I have every stayed. The bathroom was great, the kitchen better than my own, and the head and foot of the bed raised, as well as the overall level of the bed. Everything was pristine.
Not only is the place specifically designed for wheel chair users, the owners go out of their way to ensure guests have everything they need. There was a big bowl of fruit in the fridge, along with a bottle of water, juice, homemade jam, and raki, as well as a bottle of wine on the shelf. We were met by the owner, who proudly showed us around, pointing out the ecologically friendly design of the construction, such as the solar heated pool. There is a special chair to lower one into the pool, and a chair to get into upon exiting, so as not to get one's own chair wet. There's even a hot outdoor shower to rinse off. I, a former lap swimmer, got into a pool for the first time in 20 years. Nirvana!
The views in all directions were spectacular: olive trees, orange groves, a lake, a church, flowers and shrubs. I made a video, so now I can go to that special place of relaxation at will, and hear the birds chirping, goats bleating, rooster crowing, and bells ringing. I didn't want to leave, and hope to return. This place is a real gem. Lovely lodging, lovely views, lovely people.
